If a cruiserweight-sized heavyweight during the time when there was no cruiserweight is counted, then I couldn't go there. But if you're talking about since its inception as a division and based only on what happened competing there, this is a fair question that I'd assume yes for.

I would genuinely say yes. His HW run was a little disappointing but at his peak, at cruiser, he was a terrific fighter; fast, strong, dangerous. Of course he's helped by the fact that CW history is not as deep as some other divisions.

The yes would be automatic, emphatic and unhesitant were it not for the Carl Thompson loss. Probably still even with it, but more reservedly.

David Haye probably could’ve been HW champ in another era.

Couldn't stand Haye back in the day he was full of himself & will never live the toe debacle down but i have to admit he was a talented fighter.. fast, explosive, moved well.. h2h he probably would be a handful for most. Usyk (though I'd favour Usyk all day) vs prime Haye would be a quality matchup.

I hit yes but could see the downside. He was stopped by a faded LHW and would have lost to Fragomeni if he had any power at all.

I like and appreciate him, but he was flawed.
