I'd say he's pretty spot on with his assessment of Haye. . . I mean, he might be top 20-15 ATG cruiser. . . For such a new division, that really isn't saying much. Sorry, when your best win at cruiserweight is against Enzo Mac N' Cheese, well. . yeah. . .
Wait, where's the post where somebody called Haye already an ATG? :blood That actually happened? edit: n/m...have just seen Jack's explanation on this very page. OK. Carry on. Top 10/ATG CW you can actually make a pretty comfortable case for, actually.
I get killed by haye fans all the time in posts and PM's..... whats sad is some haye fans really think this way My bad that I missed the sarcasm.... if it really was:hey
Cruiserweight is an incredibly shallow division but I'd say Haye belongs in the top 10. His win over Mormeck was very impressive. I should point out that I dont rate Haye highly, by the way. It's more to do with cruiserweight being weak than him being special. If a new division was crested tomorrow, the top 10 at that time would be 'ATG' fighters in that division, although it'd obviously be a meaningless title. Saying Haye - or anyone bar Holyfield - is an ATG at cruiserweight is purely adhering to the standards of what an ATG actually is. Technically, I think Haye is one but as the division develops, he loses placing slowly and eventually, he'll be nowhere near the top 10.
I can't believe this threwad has been going on for 3 days with 8 pages worth of posts. No Haye is not an ATG... no where near. However it would take a very good argument to say he isn't an ATG at CW
You must have forgot about Carl Thompson.I want what your smoking if you actually think David Haye is an ATG.He was a chicken **** in the fight with wladamir and then blames his toe.Has never fought anybody remotely good.:-(
Precisely. Haye isn't a great fighter but in a very shallow division, he happens to be one of the best it has ever seen. That should be a fairly simplistic comment and yet, strangely, some people can't understand it.
