Is David Haye going to be another Jeff Lacy letdown?

    Guys, the build up to this fight is reminding me more and more like the Lacy/Calzaghe build-up. Most ignorant fight fans really thought that the less experienced Jeff Lacy was going to brutally Knockout the "padded" European fighter.

    It didn't make any sense then, just like it doesn't make any sense now.

    There is no way Haye gets the victory here...he is severely outclassed.

    I just hope people don't treat a Wlad victory like they did Calzaghe's...giving him very little credit for doing the paint-job on Jeff Lacy.

    When Vlad knocks Haye out, the Klitschko haters will drop Haye like a hot potato, like they have their other heroes.

    Yes...at cruiser he was, fool...at heavyweight he has yet to prove anything.

    He just cracked the top ten at Heavyweight and he is jumping right into the elite of the division. Absolutely foolish.

    Don't get angry...simply think about the comparison logically, before you start with the name calling.

    1) IF Wlad knocks Haye out, then it would be pretty ****ing stupid to think Haye would beat Wlad Klitschko. I don't know if that means "dropping him like a hot potato" but WTF do you expect.

    Anyway, most Haye fans think his fights are entertaining, I would think that would still be the case.

    2) A lot of Haye fans are Brittish and were also Calzaghe fans, that was one hero they never dropped.

    How is Haye proven? By beating Macarinelli and Mormeck? A guy with no chin and Oneil Bell's leftovers?

    Sounds to me like your buying snake-oil, dude.

    NO you think about the comparison between Lacy and Haye.Haye was undisputed,Lacy was a belt holder.Thats the comparison that needs to be taken into consideration before you write Haye off

    Haye already has been exposed, but unlike Jeff he has bounced back well from it and has achieved more overall by becoming undisputed at cruiser.

    I like Haye when he is winning and losing fights...makes for good viewing.

    I remember the sames one picking Peter to beat Vitali, and Gomez to beat Vitali, etc.

    I remember the same one picking Thompson to beat Vlad, Austin, Brock, etc., it will never change. Gomez is a much better fighter than Haye.

    In doing so he became undisputed champion.He beat Mormeck in his own back yard and then beat the man who was being labelled as number 2 in the division(I realise this probably wasn't the case).How is that not proving yourself???

    You lost credibility when you suggested that Haye ducked Adamek by moving up to HW.Do you wish to retract that comment?

    If 'many' people are calling you an idiot after reading your posts it's unlikely that their all wrong.

    So what is your point?

    Hayes fans should still keep saying Haye spanks Wlad, even after the event, regardless of the outcome?
