Not from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight, the difference in power is so much! There is a big difference between getting hit by an undersized French Bodybuilder Mormeck, and getting hit by a hard hitting Heavyweight. The difference will be devasting for Haye's awful chin.

No, Vladimir wouldn't get knocked down by the pathetic punch!Tony Thompson hits much harder, and landed better shots, then getting hit by a weak hitting SuperMiddleweight like Mock. Thompson naturally almost weighs twice as much as Mock for Christ sake.

What a strange comment to make about a knockdown that didn't feature a punch landing anywhere near the chin. Maybe you accidently posted in the wrong thread or something....

Chin means the ability to take a punch, something David Haye doesn't have. Maybe you are posting in the wrong forum?

yeah, but since David 'wannabe Roy Jones' Haye thinks he can fight the same way as RJJ (which of course he can't) he will get hit a lot, and with his shaky chin it's only a matter of time before he gets knocked out...

Anyways, why was this fight even stopped in the 4th round? Mock made it to his feet after the KD and looked ok to me, the ref should have let him continue. Premature stoppage imo. The brits probably wanted to save Haye some more trouble, cause he was obviously having a hard time with Mock. Mock is a tough fighter and he would probably have lasted two more rounds, very risky for Haye, so the ref stopped it at the first occasion he could...

Ah, so Oscar De La Hoya being ko'd by Bernard Hopkins means that we can say his chin wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

I'm starting to think one of us is posting in the wrong language anyway....

Point blank, David Haye cannot take a good punch to the head. And you know that!

No matter how you would like to pharse it, Haye is fragile big time.

A knockdown from someone's 7th professional fight would hardly seem particularly relevant when that person has gone on to fight at Championship level.

But your point that a fighter cannot improve their 'chin' (in the non-literal sense that you apply the word) is patently wrong. Haye clearly has improved his 'chin' since he fought Mock, otherwise he wouldn't have reached the level he has. There's every reason to think it will improve further with the addition of extra strength in his legs and neck at the higher weight.

yep time will tel. but hes undisputed cruiser weight champ in 2 fights and an amateur world champion. if he does well at heavy weight as well that makes him a very special boxer indeed.

this was his sixth fight for christ sakes! he also got counted out on his feet on his 13th fight and got up off the floor in a championship fight (in paris) yet hes still undisputed champ.

d i think he gets ktfo if he gets hit square by a big punching heavy? YEP. do i think he is going to make a **** division exciting if only for a minute YEP.

i think a lot can be read into his hands down style. it means hes going to get hit a lot! not to good when your going into the heavys really...

    cant wait though!
