Is David Haye the signature fight that Wlad has been looking for?

Sadly, it won't matter if Wlad beats Haye, because his critics will just downplay Haye's credibility as a HW. I agree that Haye should have built up the hype a bit more with at least 2 more fights before Wlad. But, oh well.

I honestly don't think that Vitali's style is more exciting, or more risky than Wlad's. Wlad actually leads in his fights. Wlad leads with a lot of hard jabs, and also a lot of power punches... that is much more risky than Vitali's style of jabbing... playing defense, and counterpunching from his own range. People used to say the exact opposite about the two.

No.I don't think Wlad would get much credit for beating Haye through no fault of his own.

Agreed. Although I think so far Ibragimov was his signature fight.

I don't think that Wlad even needs a signature fight to be honest. When you completely dominate all of your top opponents... it speaks for itself.

Well, let me rephrase that then. He has sparked more interest than opponents at HW. Better? :D

Who are his top opponents in your opinion?
I think he will need a signature fight because at the moment he can't be mentioned in the same breath as Lewis,Holy,Tyson Holmes and others

Well he beat Ibragimov who was ranked in the top 5 at the time by all the belts, Peter was number 2 wasnt he? A good win over Mccline, 2 good wins over Byrd.

SO I guess, he cant be mentioned with them  But then again, who did Tyson ever beat?

I think David Haye could be Wladimir's signature fight but Haye would look a lot better hypewise and big fight wise if he beats a fighter in the top 10 prior to this fight.

People remember certain fights about every boxer. Being too far ahead of everyone just makes people call the division weak.

Yes. Haye is a guy with explosive speed and definite punching power. He is the one fighter among quite a few others that could be a good fight for him. I don't believe in all this "is he a good test nonsense". Klitschko has fought over 50 times. He's already been tested. Haye might be able to be a signature fight for Wlad, only if it goes past six rounds and if he eventually stops him, or at least looks great in the fight. Otherwise, it's just gonna be another boring fight, with Wlad pawing his way to a victory.

Hes had two fights and stopped both opponents.Give him time.I'm not saying that he will spark anybody in particular or indeed anybody atall but I think your comment is rash considering he has had only two fights up at heavy
