Is David Haye the signature fight that Wlad has been looking for?

Being the undisputed crusierweight champion - surely that counts for something.

Did Rahman deserve a title shot? A 46 year Holyfield?

Why would anyone begrudge Haye a shot?

Easier said than done, let's see him do it.

He's gonna bounce off the canvas like a basketball.

    Exactly.

In other divisions, people can jump into a higher weight title shot if they've proven themselves at the lower weight. Appreciate that HW is a bit different as the maximum weight is unlimited, but there certainly aren't many other worthy contnders. Would even Povetkin - as good as he is - have got a shot after just, what 15 or 16 fights, about 10 years ago. nah. Haye is a proven champ, so that makes him as worthy as anyone else out there.

So just because he stepped up a division his fights at CW are erased from memory??My point is he is a better fighter than Arreola for example who was supposed to be fighting Wlad. What would Haye prove by beating Travis Walker if that is earning a title shot?
How did Hatton earn a shot against Floyd with one disputed win at that weight? How did Floyd earn his shot at Oscar at a weight he'd never fought at?Pac-Diaz is the same. These examples are the same as this one

Have you guys honestly seen any other fight besides the Ibragimov fight?:huh Iggy was to blame in that fight... Wlad was doing ALL of the work. You can only be so exciting when your opponent is much shorter, and decides to lean down, back and away.

You guys confuse Wlad being overly cautious, with the fact that his opponents immediately go into a shell after feeling what he brings to the table... and Wlad then has to try and pick his opponent apart, as they play defense and look for one opening to try and turn the fight around. There is much more to it than what you guys tend to believe.

What Wlad does in the ring is a exhibition in MASTER boxing. If you don't appreciate that... then you really aren't a true fan of the sport. Hitting without being hit. Tames his opponent with his jab, breaks them down, dismantles them... and takes them out. ANYONE with Wlad's abilities would do the exact same thing. Fighter who have to let it all hang out and take punches to give them, are the kind of fighters that HAVE to fight that way.

I can't wait to read the post(s) on this forum when David Haye's Glass Jaw gets shattered.

I am sure we will see a lot of the "that punch would have KOed anyone" crowd try and defend their hyped up Glass Jawed fighter.

Had Haye fought someone better than Barrett in his first fight his Glass Jaw would have already been shattered. Haye fights a guy Wlad wrecked 8 years previous yet when Herbie Haye does basically the same thing just 8 years later it is "excitement" and a "great" win for the Heavyweight Division? :huh

    :lol::rofl:patsch

I like David, he's making waves and thats good for the division.

But realistically, he's not done enough to actually earn a shot at the titles. Evander Holyfield had 6 fights, against world class contenders before getting his shot against Buster Douglas, now that's how it's supposed to be done.

He's improving his chances by far by having a few fights against solid contenders, it won't hurt him if he is what he say he is. I have doubts that he is what he claims, he's got an egg for a chin and I think it'll show against the elite. THATS exactly why I dislike this fight, and like it at the same time.. he's jumping the queue, but he's also jumping right into a right hand.

doens't matter now. he's talked himself into a fight and wlad is gonna take him apart.

I just don't want the same people bitching for Haye to get his shot and saying Wlad is ducking him etcc...tearing Haye down after getting destroyed

Rico, if one day you actually post without saying "glass jaw", my head will explode with shock. According to you, virtually every fighter you dislike has a "glass jaw", I don't know if you're an odd-ball, or trying to be funny, or are just semi-******ed, but anyway, it is getting kinda tedious now.
