Is David Haye the signature fight that Wlad has been looking for?

I see what you are saying but I don't believe Wald is anything close to a master boxer. In the HW divsion there are few that are...actually there aren't any TRUE HW's that are master boxers.

What Wald does...he does very well. he has one of the best jabs and one of the more powerful ones. He uses his physical demensions extremaly well fighting Tall and keeping range. But his arsenal post KO's has changed his style to a more calculating or cautious on. I don't knock him for that. Walds Job is to win and he does that.

But in boxing as fans you appreciate many different styles. Floyd is a very intelligent fighter..he fights cautious as well, but his skill and technique, how he adapts and thinks on his feet as a true master of boxing is amazing to watch....it comes in spurts but what you see is something very few can do.

What Wald does in the ring is very intelligent, methodical and calculated. He breaks men down with his jab....it's accurate and powerful and only when his oppoent begins to slow, wither and shell up is when you'll see Wald open up.

I do like Wald as a person and like him as a boxer but his style is not what I would call exciting. But I do appreciate it. Manny PAC is exciting, Gatti is exciting, Marg is exciting and that has nothing to do with them being great boxers b/c some are and some aren't...it has to do with their mentality. Wald's mentality is similar to Floyds and PAC's Mentality is similar to Gatti.

There is an effort to MAKE it exciting for guys like PAC or Gatti and with Wald and Floyd the "W's" are what is most important. Again...I don't knock them but like Floyd.....Wald's style is easy for people to throw shots at.

I have never said Wlad does not have a Glass Jaw.

Haye was NEVER the undisputed Cruiserweight Champion he never fought Cunningham.

Hamed was a Glass Jawed hype job. He was all over the canvas in his career and against that crappy opposisition of his too. Look what happened when he stepped it up to the big time. He was embarrassed.

Do we really want to use Valuev/Holyfield as an example? Especially since most see it as such a disputed decision? Haye coming in and TALKING his way to a shot is about the same caliber. Does the division really need this crap?

they don't prove much though the fighters i mentioned are the only real fights out there to earn a title shot.

    That's ight with me.

I say we can match our theories later this year, I am confident that the fight with Wladimir gets done, and Haye gets bummed in a few rounds by a right hand lead.

And I can see him retiring from boxing when he losses to Wladimir, but thats a whole different story :good

Because Haye was not Undisputed or that Hamed was a hype job who was exposed by the very first Elite fighter he fought?

i am a big haye fan but i am certianly not against him fighting a few good guys to get his name out more for a fight with wlad or vitali i just don't see why some people want him to fight poor fighters to earn a title shot. If people want him to earn the shot he should be fighting the guys just below wlad and vitali not miles below.:good

What the hell ?? Hamed had a rock solid chin I don't recall Hamed ever being in trouble once in any of his fights.

Vitali has ducked Haye and now Wlad will do the same and just keep saying that Haye needs to prove himself first and cross his fingers that haye loses.

while i don't mind him having a title shot i haven't seen him make that big a splash in the heavies beside his mouth
if wlad wins people will say he was suppose to
if haye wins people will say he is great
at this point its a win lose for wlad

I can't recall a single win in Wlad's career, in which he hasn't thrown a lead left hook. He threw them in every fight that I can think of... honestly. It is what he wobbled Peter with, it is what he stopped Austin with... it was used as a set up for the first right hand that really hurt Brock... he uses them in every fight. I think people REALLY exaggerate Wlad's style being boring.

    What are you talking about?

I mentioned Holyfield/Valuev because it was an example of someone getting a title shot when they had done nothing to deserve it.
