Is David Haye's "pinky toe excuse" the most pathetic in boxing history?

Seems that his excuse was good enough for you.

--“I believe my best performance was when I fought Ray Mercer,” he recalled. “I broke his jaw, they were going to stop it in the fifth or sixth round. When the doctor was stitching my cut up in hospital afterwards they said, ‘Are you the guy who fought Ray Mercer?’ I said, ‘Yes Sir, I am.’ They said, ‘Well he’s on the other side of the hospital and he’s in a lot of pain.’”--

I've broken my middle toe and had to play basket ball on it. I will tell you it was no fun, I was able to get through the game playing on about the same level I normally played at. It does limit your movement. Haye laying down and pretending to get pushed down every clench was a joke. His foot had nothing to do with that performance, it was a pitiful display. The sad thing is here in the USA it was a highly prompted fight for him, it may have been the first time a lot of Americans got to see him fight. He looked outclassed and was looking for a way out of the fight.

How about Pacquiao blaming his loss to Morales on wearing the wrong socks?

God knows why he made up this crap when he had just won by first round KO.

Pretty clear that he was faking it.

Same with the toe. Watch round 12 of the Wlad fight. Haye literally jumped into the air several times, off that foot. That's all the proof you need.
He probably injected his toe with something to make it swell, (easy to do) so as to have an excuse.

    Pathetic, as is this thread.

i don't know if wlad was poisened? but you can't watch that fight and not see clearly there was definetly something seriously wrong with him before brewster hit him with anything.

Povetkin. He actually won but underperformed horribly.
