Is David Haye's "pinky toe excuse" the most pathetic in boxing history?

The worst is George Foreman claiming, among many things, that he was about to knock out Muhammad Ali but got distracted by seeing his friend in the audience betray him by rooting for Ali.

What makes this extra bad is the fact that this came from his autobiography, By George, which came out in the 1990s. Many years after Foreman claimed he learn to "accept" the loss.

I dont think so. Hayes toe was massively swollen. I think the excuses of Dirrell, the Hopkins thyroid, the Hopkins shoulder are all alot more interesting than Hayes toe excuse. Haye went 12 rounds with a top HW having come up from CW. Those other fighters just found a way out. Look at how Hopkins fell against Dawson or how he wanted out against Super Joe. Dirrell took a shot and wouldnt fight again for a long time, yet still managed to spar in that time.
Haye isnt anywhere near as bad as that
