i didnt have dawson in my personal top 10 p4p.His biggest win is with drained Adamek, in weight category that was innapropriate for Tomasz. Now TA is doing well in HW

After TA Dawson lost a lot of time for beating grandpas , and his first fight with young, prime fighter is a lost.

to be honest controversial lost, and I think that in a rematch CHad would end Pascal fairytale

From the other hand I had a feeling that this category isnt good for Chad.Problem that CW is full of **** , lacks cash and fanbase.Maybe HW rematch with Adamek:):):Dawson said that he could go lower , i think he should go up

No, he needed the win yesterday to justify a top 10 spot. A good deal of why he was ranked there before was potential and expectations; with the showing he had last night, he'll need another good couple of wins to get back there.

Probably not but then you ask yourself, "Should these rankings be taken seriously in the first place?"

And no, he is not top 10 anymore, now if he rematches Pascal and wins, than goes on to beat Cloud, Bute/Ward, he can be top 10 again.

He'd no business being rated P4P on the back of beating Tarver and Johnson twice each. He's not an elite.

Dawson was never on my p4p list. I thought he was close to reaching the list...but I was wrong.

He needs a rematch or a dominate win over a top fighter. A rematch with a KO by Dawson would make a big statement.

I think he most def has the skills. He just doesn't have the instinct to finish his opponent.

Dawson is just another south paw piece of **** that has taken over boxing. **** on all southpaws.....good riddance....hopefully he gets his ass handed to him again in the rematch.

To say Dawson was ever anywhere near being a p4p anything is blasphemy. Maybe a 180 lb bag of south paw ****.:good

Since he schooled Adamek, Adamek became the man in the next division and now is fighting at HW and constantly improving, so?

Dont joke. It was a late LHW version of Adamek. Comparing LHW Adamek to Adamek now, he was still a newbie at 175 (easy too hit, with no balance, brawling too much) + he was drained in his late fights at 175 (especially the last).

When I say prime Adamek I mean CW and HW version of Adamek, as he is still improving and learning new things.

People ranked him p4p, more so based on his potential and the skills we perceived he had, not based on his actual accomplishments in the ring. It was absurd to rank him in the top 5 as many people did, based on his wins against Adamek, and against post prime Tarver and Johnson. I hope this teaches people to compile their lists based on what a fighter does not what we think he can do.

    Well put.

You'd have had to have been very generous to put Dawson in the Top 10 given the talent out there right now, and only fanboys had him in the Top 5.

The trouble though is that Dawson doesn't look like he'll ever become an A level fighter. Forget about his chin... more worryingly, his mental and moral qualities are just not good enough... He just doesn't have it, for all his many great qualities and attributes.

Saying all that, he is still one of the best 15-20 fighters in the world in my book, and I would give him a slightly higher than average chance to beat Pascal in a rematch, even taking into account the fact that Pascal would improve and is even better in rematches, generally.
