Would you include de la hoya at no 25 or 30 in a list of all time greats? If not where would you rank him?

Basically. We know he could hang with anyone who ever put on a pair of boxing gloves at his natural weight. That qualifies.

Yes he is. Not Top30. Not Top40. Probably not even Top50. An atg nevertheless.

Top 30 - Olympic Gold and pushed Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey, Trinidad, Mosley, Vargas and Mayweather to the limit. He has other solid wins against the likes of Miguel Angel Gonzalez, Oba Carr and Mayorga mixed in. 6 weight world champion.

He won some he should have lost and lost some he should have won but the guy was awesome. Only dominated once by Pacquaio when he was totally and utterly weight drained at 35 years of age.

Great fighter - Great Champion - Great to watch!

Oscar De La Hoya would be around top 60-80.

Fought the best, but didn't necessarily beat the best. Achieved a great deal through a wide array of different weight classes, and was one of the most talented fighters of his generation.

I think De La Hoya is definitely an ATG because he fought just about every big name in his weight range. Sure he lost to most of them (robbed in the Trinidad fight and simply too small against Hopkins), but he also beat plenty of big names (Ike Quartey, julio cesar chavez, pernell whitaker (sweet pea was robbed though), fernando vargas, ricardo mayorga, genaro hernandez, hector camacho, arturo gatti, felix sturm.

out of his generation i'd rank him behind roy jones jr, floyd mayweather jr, and maybe manny pacquiao, but otherwise def top 100 of all-time.
