Odlanier Solis pre 2006 do you think he is good enough to beat Usyk? Lets say H2H in cruiserweight division.

Solis is good enough to find an excuse to quit in the middle rounds.

Did he do anything in the professional game to support that idea?

I think Solis is more of a might've been guy. Usyk has surpassed him.

He's unfortunately another flash in the pan Cuban who:

Got fat and lazy after defecting
    Signed to terrible management
Clearly had no idea what to do with currency (diamond encrusted spongebob necklace)

You can't favor people in hypothetical matchups based on mythical coulda woulda shoulda primes. Boxing needs an honest Cuban transition program so this stops happening so often.

What's the point in having skill but not dedication?

I remember the hype from some here back in the day. But also the sceptisism of most about his weight and dedication.

And then the utter stupidity threads, about Solis was winning, he wasn't dropped his knee went out, event win, should be a NC, he would win the rematch, and all that bull...
After clearly getting nailed by Vitali in the 1st and injuring his knee by collapsing under his own weight when going down.

A clear case of if... if he would have been delicated, if his punch resistance was a bit better...
His record was rather empty too.

This is a stupid thread by someone who pulled Solis' name off boxrec.

Usyk is better talent than Solis.

As for Solis, talk about a wasted pro career. Really absurd.

It seems to be a trend among cubans, Ortiz is not far off.
