Is Delfine Persoon The Only Belgian To Ever Fight At Madison Square Garden?

    To my knowledge, no Belgian -- male or female -- has stepped into the ring inside boxing's mecca except Persoon against Katie Taylor. Is this accurate? I believe most Belgian boxers regardless of gender were European-level at best, until Persoon hit the scene. This may speak to how women's boxing could really explode in that part of Europe. Feedback on Belgians at The Garden?

    During his American campaign (1928-31), Belgian heavyweight Pierre Charles fought 3 times at The Garden.

    there have been a handful of Belgian NHL players, they sometimes play at the garden and fight quite often?
