if the protestors had any sense they would tear that down, preferably by tipping it at its weakest point, the ankles
Exactly. And Vitali didn't have a natural rival (except his brother). Wilder and Fury will be linked in history with their heavyweight title series, which continues at the end of this year.
Unless he actually beats some quality opponents in the future, he has no business making the Hall of Fame.
I have a strong feeling Wilder crashes and burns bad hurting any chance he might have of getting in. Fighters in his mold usually don't bounce back from humiliating lopsided losses he's no spring chicken either closing in on 35. What can Wilder do better? He's too old to reprogram and with the little that's there even a very good coach would be at a loss as to how to take a different workable approach with him. Fury ends his career full stop of they do fight again and if he takes a tune up before that I wouldn't rule him losing out. As they say.. it's not about how hard you fall is how you pick yourself back up. Wilder doesn't not seem to be in a good place mentally now(not that he ever was - I've always thought that apart from being dumber than a box of rocks that the dude had some clear mental health issues)
Let’s see the guy avoided Wlad, Povetkin, Joshua and got his ass handed to him twice by fury. His claim to fame is the two fights with ancient Ortiz who may have only been competitive while he was juicing and now was clean. Sorry the answer is a strong No. His defenses of his belt were awful. The ghost of Arreola, the French Pastry chef, the small Polish soccer hooligan, the converted football player, the part time school teacher, Wilder was so good picking people out of the crowd his real talent should be where’s Waldo board game.
Theres a bit of a difference between who was the clear Number 1 middleweight, a P4Per and one of the most dominant champions of recent times and most ducked fighter of recent times who was also an elite amateur >>>>>> to Donkey The Great Black Hope Windmiller..... the biggest laughing stock in boxing.. who the second he stepped up and fought the best got completely destroyed and beaten in every department with ease by the superior Fury,
The fact that this exists, I could only begin to imagine the pit of despair one would feel walking into it after Wilder retires.
