I doubt Wilder will be on PPV next unless its againt AJ or Fury.

If it's not against them and he is on PPV I think it'll bomb and he'll be back on free to view begging AJ to fight him.

What would Wilder do vs Ortiz II? 80k? 100k?

There's the answer to the question.

No, he is not a PPV Star.A PPV star is one that can sell big PPV numbers regardless of whom he is fighting. Wilder can not do this yet. Needs a few more name fights before he breaks into PPV star status.

Are you trying to insinuate that Fury was possibly taking drugs? Lol you americans are too funny. Wilder and Fury are both VADA CBP enrolled - they would have been caught already using CIR testing. Go and educate yourselves on VADA and their testing protocols before suggesting that he is a drug cheat. You fanboys have no shame to your game.

    Of course he is.

Remember when Matchroom goons were adamant they wouldn't do no more than 300k ppv buys and anticipated empty seats in the arena.

You do realize American PPV is much more expensive right? Also we have the higher gates. Ever wonder why Joshua sells out 90000 seat venues and he’s nowhere to be found on highest live gates lists? Also The UK has like 2 or 3 major sports boxing being one of them. American boxing has to compete with wayyyy more attractions. Do your homework

Wilder could probably fill up an Alabama parking lot by now. At least. Time for another gold plastic statue!!!

    Here's what Hearn said pre-fight:

"Eddie Hearn told a group of US reporters that he believes a fair split for Anthony Joshua v Deontay Wilder is 65/35, but added that it would change to 50/50 if Wilder v Fury does over one million US PPV buys, 60/40 if it does over 500k or 80/20 if it does less than 300k."

So now it did 300k, that's close to the lowest range Eddie expected.

I think over 300k is pretty good to be fair, I was thinking around 250k as Wilder doesn’t seem to be that popular. Showtime’s boss said he would be over the moon with 400k so it hasn’t hit the heights where it’s astonishing but definitely something they can work on.

Wilder vs Joshua is now crossover mega event because of the Fury fight. Those guys drawing so much attention and publicity has done Joshua a huge service since he will benefit from the fans either guy brings into a potential fight.
Add Usyk to the mix and next year has some great HW fights in the making. This is definitely a great era for the HW division.
