Before he fought Scott, many thought Deontay was going to get canned by him. After he gets knocked out in a round, they call him a bonified bum. Now that he just beat Leapai, he's good again. So what is it? Fact is: Deontay has frightening power, p4p the hardest puncher in the game. 32 (32)- 0. It's irrefutable.
Nobody thought Wilder would get canned by him, and if so they were few and far between. Typical MVC bull****, making things up to suit his little agenda. Surprised he has started pulling totally fabricated percentages out of his ass.
Even a ****** can tell Scott took a dive in that fight. I don't think Wilder's team paid him off. But I think Scott was **** scared of Wilder and looking for the first semi-decent punch to connect so he could go down and get the hell out of there. An utter disgrace.
You got it wrong kid. It's the other way around. All the others are being protected from fighting Wilder. Because they'd be like all the other thirty victims. Sprawled out and laid out on the canvass.
I don't know anyone who thought Scott was going to "can" him. Scott was hand picked for a total lack of power, so that Wilder could tee off on him. The point is moot, because it is pretty clear that Scott took the dive for his friend. I am one of the few that is generous enough to say that it was not a formal arrangement and Scott just didn't try very hard, but a vast majority of fans I have seen on this and other sites think it was on outright fraud. It is telling that it was Scott's second controversial stoppage loss in a row. As for Wilder's "frightening" power, we don't really know how hard he hits when someone is hitting back.
Scott has always been "good", no not great, but he's pretty good. Wilder is IMO also good, but has a safety first management team that has had fear of him looking mortal in a fight. Their fight was a sham. Maybe it wasn't a dive, but perhaps Wilder got the better of him in sparring, and just quit.....The punch that landed was no where near had hard as the right hands Wilder landed on Charlie Z......So draw your own conclusions there. And yes I'm telling you I'm willing to base my entire opinion of the Wilder-Scott fight on how Zelenoff was able to absorb more punishment. A top sparring partner to the best in the division does not have a worse chin than Zelenoff.
For now I would say no, just because he doesn't have a title and hasn't fought for one yet. If he does win a title and then continues to fight the opposition he has, then yes he is.
Whoever thinks Scott took a dive knows jack **** about boxing. That's a FACT Wilder's power is THAT frightening.
