Mayweather never lost after beating Baldo so he still would've been the man , had he not retired, before losing to PBF, Mosley was the man at 147 weather you like it or not.

I think most mother ****ers would disagree and say Pac was the man.

Pac hasn't lost at 147 and beat the guy that beat Mosley.

Pac was also the man most people wanted to see fight Mayweather.

Pac and Mayweathr is a LEGACY fight.

Mosley is up there, but it's not on the same stratosphere as Mayweather vs Pac; the winner of which will determine who is the best fighter of this ERA.

So get the **** outta here with that bull****.

    Bradley is easily the man.

    His resume proves it.

When Floyd fought Baldomir he was the #1 ranked WW and the lineal champ of the division, Floyd beat him capturing the lineal WW title. He then beat #2 Zab Judah, making himself the man at WW in my eyes.

Mosley beat the #1 WW at the time when he beat Margo, making him the man at 147, Floyd just beat MOsley at 147, making him the man at 147 now, Pac was never going to be the man at 147 by beating Clottey and Cotto, especially after Margo did it before and against better versions of both fighters.

I agree, it would be much better comp when there was only one route to the top, instead of people getting belts and hiding and ****.

Kostya was the lineal champ and man at 140, but he was inactive and half retired when Hatton had to wrestle and **** to beat him. AFter that Hatton never fought anyone at 140 to establish that he was the man, he fought never wases, flash in the pans, and has beens. For the life of me, I don't understand how people **** on Floyd for not fighting Margarito or Cotto, fellow WW belt holders when he was the man, but ignore Hatton fighting the likes of Castillo and ****ing Maussa while there was GAtti, Cotto, and Mayweather in his division with belts.

If the concept of linear champion means anything you either beat the man or you don't. Not 'he beat the man but I'm not going to count it because I don't want to'.

Slight misrepresentation of the facts there as well. Cotto moved up out of the division after Hatton had defended his title once (and the fight with Maussa was a unification fight), and the Castillo fight was a prelude to Hatton fighting Mayweather in his next fight, so somewhat laughable to suggest that Hatton was somehow ducking Floyd by fighting Castillo :?

Gatti was at no point relevant, so not sure why you would bring him up.

Lineal champ doesn't make you the man at a division, it makes you the lineal champ. No one thought Darius was the man at 175, he had the lineal title, but everyone knew the man was RJJ. Same situation with Ricky Hatton, he had the lineal title, sadly for his fans, he never made a case of how he was the man in the division, he didn't fight anyone else worth a damn.

Lineal champion exactly makes you 'the man' of the division, that's the whole point.

And, yes, quite a lot of people thought that DM was the man at 175, Jones may have picked up a lot of titles that were stripped from DM, some in very dubious circumstances, but he never went looking for the number one guy and you don't become number one without doing so.

Devon is the "unify" champion. Bradley was stripped cause he refuse to fight Devon and instead fought past his prime Campbell.

Another bs excuse. I bet hbo would put up the money for Bradley vs Alexander. It's the biggest fight in the junior welterweight division and you think hbo won't put up the money? Lol come on.
