Is Devon Alexander vs Kotelnik the biggest robbery of all time?

Kotelnik clearly won the fight and was robbed.

However, one of the biggest robberies was Dale Brown Vs. O'Neil Bell in Bell's home town. Even Bell's fans booed. No rematch ever happened. That fight was extremely one sided.

 

my definition is a european fighter coming in, dropping the first 4 clearly, landing 4 or 5 decent blows a round over the next 8 and then making a sad face when he loses, and then an online boxing forum EXPLODING with cries of foul when said european fighter loses. that's a robbery. maybe he should learn to throw more than 40 punches a round in the ukraine...then maybe he'd win a fighter against elite opposition

 

Kotelnik would've had to knock out Alexander to get a draw, and you know it.

The sad truth is that there is simply too much money down the drain if Kotelnik gets the W. After Jacobs just went down to a much less marketable (by HBO's standards) fighter, you think them and Don King are going to let the Alexander-Bradley superfight get derailed against a Ukrainian most fans haven't even heard of in Alexander's back yard?

There's about an Alexander's chance of knocking Kotelnik out of that happening.

 

It was a robbery, but not the biggest. We all know who the real champ is.

 

i agree that alexander had the edge on scorecards. same kessler did against froch, and froch had against dirrell. alexander happened to earn a hard fought win. unfortunately that foul little pistol whipping **** don king was there and makes everything seems shady by his very sleazebag presecence

 

The only rounds I could give to AK were the rounds that Alexander seemed to take off but even those rounds were close.

It is one of the worst scored fights since Augustus/Burton. People say DA won all the early rds. I call bull**** and IMO you could make a case for AK winning every rd from the 4th rd on and even the 2nd rd was close. At absolute best DA won 4 rds IMO. I gave him only 2 rds on my card.

 

ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH you 100%CROSS. What is with Devon winning the early rounds, if anything it was AK that was impressing me with the accurate jab from round 1.
Honestly I am going to get shitted on but I gave Devon 2 rounds myself, 1 round being generous.
You know the more I think about it the more I am convinced this WILL go down as one of the WORST decisions I have ever seen.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but it seems like every fight that doesn't end in a stoppage these days is called a robbery on here. It's getting ridiculous.
