Nobody ranks Chavez that high, and rightfully so, but is he ranked too low?

We all know he gave Keith Thurman fits until Thurman adjusted and began to outbox him. He was beating Rios, 2 rounds by my score, until he was disqualified. And he just drew with a top P4P fighter.

    What are your thoughts?

Giving Thurman fits? Not sure about that. He was definitely competitive with him. I thought they were fighting fairly even most of the way until Thurman started softening him up. That is also the sharpest that Chaves has ever looked in my opinion. And yeah he got a draw last night, but that was a fight, he should have lost all things being fair. He should have been ahead of Rios. Rios sucks.

It seems to me he's gotten a little better in each of his fights in the U.S. l was really surprised at how fast and relaxed he looked in there last night. I don't think there wax really any way to come up with a Chaves victory but he definitely earned a lot of respect from me.

No ranked just about right, good fighter but not underrated. He for sure lost 9-3 or 8-4 last night, bizarre score cards. Rios ain't all that great and Thurman isn't proven yet and he got beat easily enough in the end.

He hasn't proven to be a Maidana or Lucas quality just yet.

I think he just got screwed against Rios. Was going to win that fight. You give Chavez that W, and he's rated fine.

Yea, 9-3 or 8-4 Bradley is the correct scorecard.

So you are essentially giving May a pass if he chooses him as his next opponent.:rofl:rofl:rofl

Come on......Ray Charles had Bradley winning that fight by no less than 116-112.:rofl:rofl:rofl

He's just good enough to be a slight pain in the ass, but little else

Bradley deserved a draw for having wasted everyone's time fighting him in the first place. Chaves is the quality of guy who young up and comers should face twice before actually stepping up to a top 10 guy. He's good for what he is but I feel he is generally thought of accurately (although I expect agendas to make people randomly start anointing him as being great now).

Yeah, he's under rated by a lot of people but he is a solid fighter and has proved that he can hang and bang. I don't know if he will ever win a title but it's possible.

With how highly people spoke of Bradley, I think Chavez is underrated.
