Is Dillian Whyte really better than the likes of Lou Savarese?

Lou throws an uppercut on the ring walk and somehow, Dillian runs into it. Fight over.

Never was impressed by any of them. Saying that, I rate Whyte higher since he beat better fighters than Lou lost to. Parker was definitely better than Izon, Grant or ancient Foreman. I'm pretty sure guys like Rivas and Chisora also were better than Izon

Parker definitely isn't better than ancient Foreman.

Ancient Foreman > Joyce. Even that Foreman would KO Whyte you people are ridiculous

Younger and better version of Foreman got beaten to a pulp by Axel Schulz who was inferior to Parker in every part of the game aside of punch resistance. Schulz was smaller, slower, was lesser puncher and lesser boxer compared to Parker, yet he battered better version of Foreman than the one that beat Savarese

And if so, how does it make Savarese better than Whyte? Rahman KOed Lennox Lewis with a single punch, yet couldn't even stop ancient versions of Berbick and Ferguson. Doest it make them better than Lewis?

If you look at both their careers, facing champions and losing but beating consistently fighters outside the top 10.

They were at a similar level, just in completely different eras.

However if you apply the best win approach. Then Whyte’s win over Parker is better than any win Savarese has.

This isn’t an easy one to call.

I would rate them as about even but in completely different eras.

Don't think that Izon was better than Whyte.

Schulz would've battered Parker to a pulp, also.

He sertainly wasn't, by any means. No shame in losing to Tua, but Izon also was schooled by 17 years old Maurice Harris and looked absolutely helpless against Grant, Oquendo, Mesi and even shot Alfred Cole

Foreman at that stage wasn't stopping anybody, not even Grimsley.

He was also avoiding everyone in the top 10 so likely wouldn't fight Whyte

Whyte has no chin, so it doesn't matter. Whyte wouldn't be there in the first place and he gets KO'd if they fought

Guys with no chin were surviving Foreman at this stage so why would that matter? If he can't stop Grimsley he's not likely to stop Whyte. Whyte might not have a good chin relative to some guys but he's harder to stop than Savarese for sure. Since when is getting stopped by Fury the equivalent of getting stopped by Izon?

Grimsley went 12 with Foreman but was stopped by Jimmy Thunder in 13 SECONDS IN HIS VERY NEXT FIGHT

Savarese is probably around that level yes, not necessarily better. I don't rate Parker higher than older Foreman is the point, it would be Joyce all over again who is even slower than Foreman. Parker can tag Foreman all he wants he's going to get pushed passed his comfort and wilt to the power as usual
