is he the man to follow such a crap performance with a fan pleasing performance? seriously post froch he had loads of haters. but his performance vs abraham made him one of the best 168'ers
He was already skilled and people on here had faith in him to beat AA. Personally,me, I am a Dirrell fan and happy to say he was the first to beat Arthur but it's a shame both fights back-to-back for him have all ended in controversy.
i dont really understand the question here, but his performance against froch was pretty damn good considering his experience and that he was fighting in England. besides all the flailing and falling down, he basically dominated froch, hurting him pretty badly in the process. that fight was a ****in massive robbery. the abraham fight was basically the same, but without all the running/falling down all over the place. i think he learned his lesson from the froch fight.
Dirrell will look better against AA because AA keeps his gloves near his face and has a smaller reach, different to Froch who keeps his left glove away from himself and has a bigger reach. Dirrell likes to keep a distance and because AA keeps a high and tight guard, this allowed Dirrell to be closer to AA than he was against Froch who kept his hands away from his own face. If Dirrell rematches Froch, it would be the same fight, but Dirrell would just tweak a few things and win a UD, My opinion.
The first? Of course not. For examples of the top of my head, Evander Holyfield didn't please the crowds with his fight with Larry Holmes. His next fight was the first bout with Riddick Bowe. Mike Tyson-Bonecrusher Smith was a stinker. More so because of Smith, but the fight stunk. Tyson then almost knocked Pinklon Thomas's head off. Floyd Mayweather's fight with Goyo Vargas was boring. His next bout was an entertaining win over Emmanuel Augustus. His fight with Carlos Hernandez wasn't pretty at all. Then he fought Jesus Chavez. His rematch with Jose Luis Castillo and the Vic Sosa bouts weren't crowd pleasing. His next bout, against Philip Ndou, was.
I didn't see the Czyz fight but heard it was crap. Next fight later he upsets Tyson as a 30-1 underdog in an exciting fight.
No, it happens all the time. A fighter looks like crap in one fight, then brilliant in the next. Several factors can influence this, most notably the opponent, but also how training went, any niggling injuries, illness, difficulty in making weight, nerves, fighting overseas etc etc
No the fight wasn't a massive robbery, nor anything near it.This robbery nonsense is just a revisionist myth bandwagon which many just like to jump on. It was a close fight and VERY difficult to score, but realistically no fighter will ever win a world title by fighting the way Dirrell did that night
Post your scorecard. Wasnt it you, that dumby jack and cobbler who said Froch was going to just walk right through dirrell? Of course its not a robbery. :rofl
