Nah.... Vargas is a much better man and more intelligent human being:good Who just also happens to hate DLH.

It's just funny to me, when a clown like Presscott wants to ride my dick because he cant handle objective/reasonable viewpoints. I have no love for DLH but if anyone compares the records and accomplishments of Jr and DLH, it's perfectly CLEAR that Jr in NO WAY compares.

Like I said, I'm beyond the hate, we have different bias's on certain issues, but those dont encompass all that is boxing.

If ya check, I was on this **** before you, anyone hyping Jr. clearly has little understanding of Boxing skill.

Its only obvious that junior is very raw and quality of opposition is ****. The thing about these two fighting eachother is that they will become magnets when in the same division. I wish I could do some sort of science project to further explain. They haven't even said the others name but once you when you have these two in the same division they begin to walk circles around eachother. Beating Paulie or Alfonso is going to place him junior in the top 10 and we all know DLH would be a top 10 Light Heavy before a fight even took place.

If you were DLH and Chavez was a formidable Welterweight champ or challenger why would you not want to retire against this guy? If Chavez is worth every bit of obstacle and challenge he should be DLH would be a fool not to go out like this. Just as with Fernando Vargas; DLH finds himself with his back against the wall with nothing to do except engage that thorn in his side.

For anyone who didn't know DLH had a sparring session with senior back in 1989. It was said that he had been knocked down in the process. So leading into their fight with all the contrasts at hand it had a big story to begin with. DLH fighting the man's son would double that effect.

Like DLH/Mayweather this fight would have a story outside the ring. Once again a father is brought into the mix and now DLH would find himself in that role. Only instead of a 10 year age difference this would be 13. I know how crazy and offensive that sounds because of junior's record but this makes DLH/Chavez jr just that much more intriguing. If it were to happen two years from now, junior would be the exact same age as DLH when he fought his father.

Let's hope junior remains undefeated while beating a quality opponent because this fight could very well out sell DLH/Mayweather. Oscar will seem like Darth Vader stepping into the ring against junior. The ultimate bad guy and definition of what not to be when you've been that life long JCC fan. Mexican or not.

I was thinking Mosley and DLH were gonna both have a retirement rubber match for big big money than leave for good... As a Mosley fan id rather Mosley keep going for the young guns for his last 2 years or so..But this is probably what will happen in my opinion..I mean, you know Oscar isnt moving down to fight Floyd..

That was sarcasm, I hope!! If so,

If not?? You dont know me or read much of what I post.
I picked PBF vs DLH, actually suffered a knee injury as i Picked up a friend and hopped around the room in celebration of Hopkins winning, won $1400 when SSM beat DLH the first time, and had $5,000 riding on Trinidad back in the day.

All I do now is respect that DLH reversed the chicken DLH trend and admit he's a respectable fighter.

BTW, it broke my heart when Vargas lost, I lost $700 on that 1, though I'm still well ahead in the $$$ department thanks to DLH.

Oscar will KO JR inside of 3 and Paulie will box circles around Jr, until the end of 12 or astoppage on cuts.

This fight is not happening in our lifetime. De La Hoya is looking to fight the best at this point in his career. Chavez jr doesn't even have his first championship. The only people that would buy this pay per view live south of California.

If Oscar wants two fights for his farewell year, an easier and a harder in that order, JCCJr. and Cotto would be a very good choice however if Oscar is hesitating between Cotto and anyone else he should choose Cotto without doubt. Risky fight, but a fight where he can prove himself and even if he loses he can still pick anyone to fight him in September.

So, Oscar should fight Cotto in May but IF he wants an easier opponent first, then Jr. is actually an EXCELLENT choice moneywise. I don’t think I should explain the potential of a promotion for this fight (young vs. old, name vs. name, family revenge etc). If Arum wants to take this HUGE risk, letting his future cash cow fight a true great fighter, we should be more than happy.

But the thing is: a few days ago it was Arum who ruled out a bout between Jr. and Gomez, so Jr. fighting Oscar is not a realistic turn of events at all. And beating Jr. at the stage of Jr.’s career wouldn’t mean too much for Oscar, and it’s DLH who is picking the opponent. Of course beating DLH would mean a LOT to Jr, but it’s not him who decides. So other than money, I don’t think that DLH sees a lot of thing is this match-up. Exciting, yes, could turn out to be a good fight, the names and the promotion is there… but not the best timing… 2 years from now would change everything, but 2008 is looking to be DLH’s last year.

So… it’s not a bad match-up, but Oscar should fight Cotto.
