Yes or no? Seems many have propelled him into elite top p4p status after that victory. And many have him as their #1 LHW after that victory. It was indeed an impressive showing. As well as a comprehensive schooling of a top level fighter. My issue is Canelo is a small man. He's not a LHW. Does a victory over Canelo at 175 propel you to the top? I don't think so. Not in my opinion.

Beterbiev is still the man at 175. The perfect record and 100% KO rate is impressive. As is unifying twice. It's the victory over Gvozdyk that seals the deal IMO. That guy was no joke. A 6'3" natural LHW, with skills and power. Could actually bang at 175. Not some puffed up 168 pounder. But a real, genuine, strong 175 pounder.

He has dominant UD wins over Canelo Alvarez, Gilberto Ramirez, Jean Pascal, Isaac Chilemba, Joe Smith Jr, Craig Richards, Sullivan Barrera and Umar Salamov. No he's not being overrated.

Can tell he was underrated before the fight, but was never overrated so far.

Homie has gotten massively overrated, Bivol hype is what would have happened if somebody managed to beat Floyd, all the detractors have come out the woodwork to now overhype Bivol and act like he ain’t been ducking smoke in his own division.. Beterbiev fight has been there for him didn’t try to fight Kovalev either good fighter but I wouldn’t have him p4p top 10 at all

Ok, but for real, come on. That was Canelo. Not a scrub, but he ain't a real 175 pounder. This wasn't Kovalev (prime) or Gvozdyk.

He is a highly skilled fighter. Not sure of anyone who can beat him at the moment.

Come on now. Bivol is not even a legitimate world champ. He's an alphabet belt holder.

No he has pedigree. He has humility. He is super sexy & he beat the ginger midget without even trying.

He'd box berterbiev's head off also.

not at all I picked Bivol to beat Canelo the first time, it’s weight classes for a reason. Factually tho it’s a 3-belt unified champion in his own division that he ain’t even attempted to fight. Bivol solid but I’d have Beterbiev p4p before him

Canelo’s a bum. Bivol was in gear 1 against the ginger devil and still took him to the school changing rooms

He wasn't considered all that before he beat Canelo (4/1 underdog), so the appraisals now are far closer to reality than they were before. For me, nothing changed. I expected him to dominate Canelo (a blown-up MW/SMW with relatively slow feet) and the only thing up for debate was whether he'd get robbed.

That was Canelo... and everyone else I listed, that you chose to ignore.... were real 175 pounders. Yes obviously Gvozdyk was a great win, but that doesn't invalidate all of Bivol's very solid wins at 175 or make him overrated. You have some of the faultiest logic on this site.
