You're a ****ing moron. Beterbiev being the best, doesn't make everyone else overrated.

the casual part is definitely right, I’m a huge Canelo fan but I know boxing before anything Bivol did what I expected honestly I guess with the talk of Canelo fighting cruiswrwoghts ppl really thought he was unbeatable but 4 divisions is hard to do

Dmitry Bivol's victory was very skillful, his combo punching was evident against another counterpuncher in Canelo Alvarez, great victory. Many said that 175 lbs is not Alvarez's weight but it sure was when he beat a washed up Sergei Kovolov for the title a few years back, but not against Bivol? It sounds like selective memory to me or bias. All champions today are alphabet champs, it makes money for the fighters, promoters and pay per views.

    Yeah, I think he is.

Canelo victory was good but mainly because Canelo is a PED head and Bivol is a small 175 fighter. But normally the 175 champ should win that fight and Bivol still had some size and range advantages there, advantages that Golovkin never had for instance. If Golovkin had grown to 6'1 or so, he would have KO'd Canelo badly. Bivol clearly lacks power.

The Joe Smith was good but everyone knows he's not a technical boxer.
    Pascal was old.
The resume is thin when you consider how he is talked about, especially since he isn't destroying the second tier fighters, which can make up for not having huge wins.

If he had a victory over one of the big guys at 175 over the years, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Nail, even Chickenson, his hype might be justified but at the moment he's missing that.

If he beats Beterbiev, that would fill the gap. But it seems he doesn't like that fight. The fact Smith just moved up to 175 and is taking on Beterbiev where as Bivol has been there for ever and never made that fight is pretty suspect. I don't believe for one second that Beterbiev is avoiding the lightest punching 175 champ in years, it makes no sense.

Bivol was hyped hard when he came onto the scene. Then everyone just forgot about him. Anyone who knew Bivol and Beterbiev as they were coming up knew the result of Bivol vs Canelo long before it happened. When Canelo beat Kovalev, which I gave him props for, I made the point that he should stay far away from Bivol and Beterbiev. Casuals bought I to the hype of Canelo as a LHW though.

I think alot of people had Canelo #1 pfp before Bivol schooled him. Canelo was believing his own press clippings.
