No, he is not. He's not even his own future champion.

Moses Itauma is the future of the heavyweight division (if he can take a punch, that is).

Dubois belongs more to the current era than the next one in my opinion, despite being young. He's already been in his fair share of big fights. Fought Joyce, Hrgovic, Usyk and he's about to fight AJ. Taken quite a bit of damage already too (and made a lot of money). And he's officially the current IBF champion.

Don't see him being a guy that continues well into his mid to late 30's, the time for him to shine is right now. He's in too deep. A win against AJ would establish him as one of the top contenders of this era already, but I'm not expecting that to happen.

He's still so young, I want to see him only fight bums for the experience for another few years. Like, get to 30-0 or something first before stepping up. Pad his record while he grows into his weight and when he's 24-25 get involved a bit more. He'll still be super young by that point and have the experience and I think from there he could dominate for a long time

    Good Video Rummy.

In his best to date win, Dubois used Holyfield's "Way of third fist" against Hrgovic. There were some odd twenty plus headbutts.

My question about Dubois is what happens when he gets called on it by the ref? What happens when he can't do this?

Also the Lerena fight and I'm just not sold.

Yes - Lerena had him taking 3 knees and down a lot, why does nobody else mention this!!

To be fair there was only 1 genuine knockdown there and that was the first one. He injured his knee while falling down, on the two ''knockdowns'' after that he didn't even get hit. Think it was an ACL tear which he had surgery on afterwards.

If Dubois is the Future of Heavyweight Boxing, then Heavyweight Boxing has no future.

Dubois is just a bit of a plodder really. I've never been too impressed. Fair play to him for stopped Miller and Hrgovic; I definitely wasn't expecting that. But I don't see him dominating the division or anything. He's more like a Tommy Morrison figure.

Not talented enough to be the future. Improving, though.

i kinda think that too, but he has a long way to go and a short time to get there. lots of ways to **** up in between now and what seems to be the obvious outcome. but how can anybody not like him?

The British media and sponsors will pretend he is.
AJ, Whyte, Joyce, Dubious ... there's always a new hype brand.
At least it's fun watching them get exposed.
Think of the satisfaction we got from:
Obese fake-HW Ruiz with not a single top win destroying AJ.
Dead on his feet old Povetkin one-punching Whyte in the eliminator.
Middle-aged Chinese guy wrecking 'invincible' Joyce twice.
Dubious quitting twice. Or if you want it the other way, getting jab KO'd by a cruiser with average power.

UK based HWs tend to get stepped up very quickly in the UK, which I think can often damage a career before it starts.
The prestige of the British title often means they are in big fights very early in their careers rather than being able to develop at a slower pace

Consider in 23 fights Dubois has fought
    Undefeated Miller
    Undefeated Hrgovic
    Undefeated Joyce
    Undefeated Usyk
    Undefeated Bryan
    Undefeated Gorman

    And fighting Joshua next
That will all be within 24 fights

Surely some of you must see how incredibly tough it is for UK based HWs
They don't often tend to get the chance to have around 20 -25 learning fights with the gradual step up, especially when you have the British title at stake

Tommy Morrison was quick and good
His lifestyle killed him but I believe he had genuine ATG talent, except maybe for the chin
