Texas is loaded with Mexicans, them guys live and breathe boxing from a young age. You would think that they would help keep it a float down there.

Yeah, the 16-35 demographic is what the UFC appeals to most, and thats the majority age group that frequents bars. I hope boxing makes a comeback in America, but the lack of personality in fighters today could have an effect on Americans watching them fight. The fighters the average fan knows is Pac, Hopkins, Hatton, Mayweather, Jones, Oscar, and Holyfield. Half of the fighters I named have one foot out the door and will be retired within 3 years, but I dont know who will replace them popularity wise.

I only know of about 2-3 serious MMA gyms in my city. I know of one MMA gym that basically turned in to a Boxing/ Kick Boxing gym last year. We also have 5 boxing gyms. Back when that ******* Dana White was saying that there were only 2 boxing gyms in Vegas I could name 8-10 off the top of my head.

No you're just prejudice and let your personal bias blind your thinking. Turn your logic around, are American fighters over rated because they've lost over and over again to Soviet Fighters? Oh no it's because it's a weak era right? Naw, it's just that your stereo typical view of the world is crumbling so when one Soviet fighter losses to a top notch American HW you jump on the propaganda band wagon to soothe your own agenda.

"Young" any relation to Steve?

    By your moronic reasoning:
    1. Tyson ko'd most fighters, this proved his opponents were all hype jobs
    2. Ali, Frazier, and Foreman ko'd most fighters, this proved their competition was all hype jobs
    3. Holifield and Holmes ko's most of their competition, this proved they fought all hype jobs.
    4. Lennox ko'd most of his opponents, they must of all been hype.
    5. You are a moron, most of your posts are moronic, your logic is that of a pre-schooler.

This era of heavyweights is just fine. It's silly to ask if all fighters from a certain part of the world are overrated. As an American myself, I think that the Eastern European fighters are obviously very strong in the heavyweight division. If anything... they seem to be underrated.

Dimitrenko is ..................Dimitrenko. Boytsov,Bidenko,Maslov,Fedosov,Tereshkin,Abdusalamov, and all the other young heavy weight fighters from the countries of the former soviet union are not genetically designed in a soviet lab as some people here seem to think.
They are individuals, individual fighters. They may have in common certain traits, but every fighter fights for himself.

Chambers taught Dimitrenko a lesson in boxing.Props to Chambers.Well done!
But lets not get carried away! Povetkin beat him quite easily..........when he was still suffering from the effects of a flu.
Wlad will probably wipe the floor with him,and so will his brother.

A young sharp gun like Boytsov will probably beat the living **** out of Chambers, and Povetkin for sure wont be the underdog against Chambers in their rematch.

Ok don't get your hopes up about Denis Boytsov.. He lacks head movement and appears to be easy to hit. We will have to see he has a typical euro padded record.

As opposed to the padded record all American fighters have until they decide to fight in a few select states?

Chambers record against American based HeavyWeights 34-0. Chambers record against Eastern Euro HeavyWeights 1-1. Soon to be 1-2.

The only HeavyWeight fight people want to see is Wladimir vs Haye.

This is the fight everyone wants to see for sure. Both have punching power and know chin what so ever. This fight will be fun while it last. Wlad is finally going to get hit.
