Other than the Chambers win yesterday and Brewster beating Krasniqi in '05, name one significant win an American heavyweight has scored over an Eastern European fighter in the past 4 years and no, Brock and Thompson beating Timor Ibragimov don't count.

Why does the Timor Ibragimovs fights not count. I think timor is a pretty good boxer. I Wish Sultan would comeback. I like the Ibragimovs.

Donald did not beat Valoeuv. Vitali knocked Donald out. Holyfield did not land as many punches as Valouev. Klitschkos would knock Holyfield out. Haye's name is "Pizza Face".

Briggs over Lyakhovich in early 07 for the WBO belt. Does Peters win over Maskaev count?

    jeff young a little advice:

'Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

now A stupid person should keep silent. But if he knew this, he would not be a stupid person.

note how jeff never shuts up!

No, the Eastern Euros will most likely continue to be a big part of the HW division, unfortunately the American HW's have typically gone downhill so the Eastern Euros appear to be the best HW's in the world now.

It's not a trend, it more of a cycle if anything. Less than 4 years ago, all 4 of the belt holders were American. Rahman (WBC), Ruiz (WBA), Brewster (WBO), Bryd (IBF). And inbetween that time you had other fighters like Peter and Briggs hold belts. So as you can see, while the eastern europeans currently hold belts, it doesn't mean it will stay that way.
