Asking considering Beristain may retire since he is 82 years old and not training any top boxers at Romanza Gym. Rey Vargas just recently left him. Beristain has trained: Ricardo López Juan Manuel Márquez Rafael Márquez Daniel Zaragoza Humberto González Victor Rabanales Jorge Arce Guty Espadas Guty Espadas Jr Alfredo Angulo Enrique Sánchez Gilberto Román Jhonny González Melchor Cob Castro Rodolfo López Alejandro Barrera Abner Mares Vicente Escobedo Juan Carlos Salgado Jorge Paez Rey Vargas Reynoso has trained: Oscar Larios (Trained primarily by Chepo) Javier Jauregui Luis Nery Saul "Canelo" Alvarez José Argumedo Julio Cesar Martinez Frank Sanchez Andy Ruiz Oscar Valdez Ryan Garcia Three of them joined Reynoso at their late 20s.
Cuyo Hernandez trained: Ruben Olivares Carlos Zarate Alfonso Zamora Ricardo Lopez Rafael Limon Lupe Pintor Rodolfo Casanova Cristobal Rosas trained: Romeo Anaya Julio Cesar Chavez Sr Salvador Sanchez These coaches have trained very recognizable names and as far as I can tell they have not been praised as much compared to Reynoso. Just want to recheck if this is still the case. Just want to mention that: Oscar Valdez, Joselito Velasquez, Luis Nery and Andy Ruiz joined his camp at their late twenties or early thirties, so it would be difficult to implement skills in styles they have been polishing during their youth. Julio Cesar Martinez does or did not train with Reynoso, he is however promoted by him. Ryan Garcia hasn't improved despite sticking with Reynoso for 3 years. This is not to be discrediting the Job Eddie has been doing with Canelo so far but the boxer started off with Eddie Reynoso's Father, Chepo Reynoso who had trained the likes of: Oscar Larios who gave a war against Manny Pacquiao all twelve rounds and beaten Israil Vasquez. Javier Jauregui who has a lot of losses but had a decent career. Winning by TKO x2 against Jose Luis Castillo. Is there any other coaches in Mexico who surpass him at the moment? Juan Francisco Estrada and Miguel Berchelt before his loss to valdez and switching to Capetillo trained under the same coach called Alfredo Caballero and were at the top of their division. Also Mauricio Lara and Emmanuel Navarrete come from the same stable. Not sure whose their coach though.
