They reckon 88.9% of statistics are made up on the spot!

Possibly true, but only statistics which derive from a credible source should be considered.

Hearn has done a mediocre job , he has set up the right fights at the right times for his fighters , sold several poor standard PPV shows and seems hell bent on Joshua never fighting anywhere but a huge stadium again, I think the sport would be better with a promoter who puts more into lower levels of boxing, Hearn is basically like a car salesman flipping cars for big bucks.

That's ridiculous. Whether you like him or not to say his done a mediocre job is laughable.

His done a good job as sky ain't in no rush to ditch him. His ppv numbers for AJ are insane. His ppv numbers without AJ are fantastic.

Before matchroom went to sky PPV was dead.

Live gate numbers with and without AJ are healthy.

Stop drinking that hateroade and just accept as a business its undoubtedly been a success.

Surely we are not smarter than the fighters and managers. If it was all so mediocre why arent fighters all running to the hills for another promoter?

Mediocrity is losing his money multiple times and declaring bankruptcy.

Thanks to inheriting his dads business and the deal with Sky, Hearn is allowed to be a promoter at a much earlier age with no immeadiate concern about money. His youth makes him appealing to the boxers and the fans which is heightened by the fact that he has embraced social media really well. I think he's improved the profile of boxing which is enough for me, although I'm too new in boxing to say he's the best british promoter.

To be fair though he went to sky and said he was gonna change the landscape of British boxing.. no more leisure centre shows etc etc. At the time sky had multiple promoters putting on tiny shows for live TV.

He convinced sky to take the gamble with matchroom and it paid off.

Eddie Hearn was one of the key players in making the Haye-Harrison fight, which was one of the awful PPVs that almost killed PPV.

I guess i am just frustrated we dont see the best heavies fighting each other, hopefully it will happen.

All I said was that you don't have to be middle class to go to Oxbridge, and that's true. I'm living proof that that is true as my daughter got a place there and there was only 25 places that were available for all students. I can only tell you my experience. Maybe you are right, in general they like to accept middle class white people, it wouldn't surprise me.

Eddie Hearn is the greatest promoter of all time. if he promoted BJS he would sell out York Hall twice a year.
