I mean, think about it. Here you have a natural cruiserweight sparring with a supermiddleweight that punches like a featherweight!! That is a ****ing recipe for disaster!

  2. Yeah because a fighter's chin is determined by who he spars with.

Well it certainly can't help, can it? If you're used to getting your face dusted by feathers, and next thing you know, you're in there with a fighter who can actually punch.

lol obviously you're exaggerating but there's some truth to the fact that sparring big punchers can help improve your punch resistance. Like everything else your body gets adjusted to the impact of a big punch

By that logic he must have been sparing with Gavin Rees

So who has Amir Khan been sparring with?
The slight breeze coming through the bottom of the door?

They tried that but Khan got a concussion. Now roach keeps him in a hermetically sealed chamber.

do you think he sparred exclusively with calzaghe or something?fighters usually have more than one sparring partner.he probably sparred with calzaghe for speed but he must have sparred heavyweights at some point.

Honestly, please do respond to this:

I think Amir Khan is somewhat of a joke too, but how can he have the most renowned chin in the sport because he got KO'd once really badly. Using that logic, Jack Dempsey has the weakest chin in heavyweight history, as he was KO'd in ten seconds of the first round by Fireman Jim Flynn, 1917. I know the fight was possibly fixed, but we must take it at face value. Also, Dempsey was the original ducker, refusing to fight Harry Wills despite him being the most superior heavyweight contender for years. So.... I guess what I'm trying to say is the average fan nowadays is an idiot.

Calzaghe is one of the most powerful p4p punchers of all time. Is this some kind of joke? I dont understand your frame of logic.

I agree somewhat with the logic...if you are used to taking lighter shots then harder shots will be quick a shock.

Being the hardest P4P puncher would not automatically mean you hit harder than CW's anyway. Your logic sucks, and Calzaghe is not a huge puncher by any means.

I can easily name 20 euro-level talents with more p4p punching power than Calzaghe, among them:

    Pavel Melkomyan
    Roman Golovashchenko
    Miguel Gozalvez
    Ghislain Vodouhnessi

Was Dempsey wobbled by a jab? Was he placed on ***** street by juggernauts the likes of willie limond (30% KO rate?), or welterweight craig watson WHILE wearing amateur headgear? So I guess what I'm trying to say it Amir Khan's chin is truly not of this earth.
