Should never be asked. Even after retiring he came back to bust up Cano, Maidana and Garcia.
Morales, a mere shadow of what he used to be had enough heart and skill to fight on almost even terms with younger and bigger fighters.

And one thing many have forgotten is how Morales used to get ridiculed for his weight after the retirement. Then he gets back into somewhat decent shape and humiliates Maidana after a few iffy comeback fights.

Yeah he def is. He was obviously well on his way out when he beat Pacquiao though. I don't really put much stock in anything after that. There was a huge drop off.

I didn't know how to vote on this because Erik's been a great fighter and is one of my all time favorites, but I can think of at least 5 featherweights in history off the top of my head who are better.

ok here it is on the erik:

became shamp in 1997 at 122 and reigned for 5 years undefeated only losing to barrera in a defense of his 126 title.

    so here are the numbers:

122- WBC 9 title defenses unified WBO and WBC
    126- WBC 3 title defenses
130- WBC IBF 2 title Defenses
    140- WBC 0 defenses

i reverse my decision after reviewing his stats. he is a atg. his body of work at 122 was solid and he dominated in that division. had some success moving up overall 15 title defenses 4 legit titles in 4 weight classes definitely an ATG and he was on the decline when he beat PAC. after the pac fight which was 2005 he didnt win a title for another 6 years.

great career overall atg ranking 80-90 overall at 122 top ten
