So let him fight those guys. Draining that much can really hurt a fighters punch resistance and durability, especially against fundamentally sound, sharp, accurate boxers with great timing, leverage and explosiveness. I think without a single doubt Spence would give them the tune up of their lives. Its ok, people can continuously sleep on Spence, and when his career is done I'll gladly point back to my assessments.
I'm trying not to get to hyped up about last night's win before last night I thought he was just a ko artist .he showed me I was wrong .he is labelled the Sugar Ray Leonard of this generation. Im not sure I will admit I was wrong about him (his skills) he can do more than more than box. Definitely will keep a close eye on him next fight I want to see more of what I saw last night
Ans same for this post. Makes me so proud and happy to see fans see and notice Boo Boo's ability and potential. And you're right, hes got a great personality man, he really is a great dude who never has or will get an ego too big for himself. Hes got the utmost confidence in himself without needing to oversell it and act brash and he proves its not cockiness in-ring. You couldnt be a fan of a better dude my friend.
I love Mikey and Spence as fighters and both deserve mad respect for getting it on last night and ESJ definitely showed me some extra layers I hadnt noticed up to last night, but SRL might be a bit too far(and I HATE SRL and Marvelous Marvin Hagler is my favorite fighter all-time) but we will see. Objectively SRL was beyond a truly special ATG -- hes elite even in the ATG crowd. But, there's not a whole lot more in boxing that would please me than for Spence to live up to those lofty and almost unattainable standards/comparisons. Regardless, just know that when you see ESJ fight, youre seeing a true generational talent and p4p elite fighter with greatness written all over him.
When it comes to fighters I really care how they manage their prime years I'm hoping he unifies by next year or moves up in weight better time build your legacy while you are at your best
He's a 5'9 weterweight who was 2.5 lbs. heaver than his opponent on the day of the fight. How does this make him a weight bully? He fought Brook and everyone here was saying "wull, Brook wuz draaay-aaned", aka "heavier than Spence." Again, how does that make him a weight bully. He was actually lighter than Orozco in his last fight, how does that make him a weight bully? He weighed in 3/4 lb. UNDER the weight. How does that make him a weight bully? If he moves up ONE weight class, the champs are 6'1 guys. How does that make him a weight bully? His JLWT Champion opponent ASKED for the fight, how does that make him a weight bully?
Mikey called out Spence, not the other way around. Spence would have been an idiot to turn down that kind of money for that little risk. Especially given how so many newbs were saying Mikey was going to win.
I didn't say he was a weight bully I asked for everyones thoughts me personally I think people exaggerate Spences size to much he is not that big in my opinion
I have a question 2.5 lbs heavier than Mikey ? They showed the same day weigh in ? How much was Mikey and how much was spence
Yep forget Pac it's all about him and Bud imo.Crawford's a serious boxer you know?and Spence is relentless. I'd be interested to see those two side by side.
He is and has suffered from mismanagement imo.Andrade is an absolute giant of a man on the sly,Saunders is a big lad and yet Andrade was bigger still.Defo one of the good guys.
I can imagine Andrade needing a challenge to perform at his best,he comes under the avoid at all costs category but I'm sure Hearn will get him the big fights now. Spence had that same aura ever since that Floyd sparring story, wether true or not.I respect him for coming to the UK and leaving with the belt.time now that the rest fought him as I don't see how anyone could think he's avoiding anyone.
This is precisely the reason why I feel Errol just outboxed and never really walked down Mikey like he did all the others. Because of crybabies who would say "weight bully"
Spence is a very big 147lber, but he makes weight easy enough and looks very powerful doing so. Jermell is definitely bigger but Jermell is not actually that big at 154.. For example he's a hell of a lot smaller than Hurd or his brother when he was at 154....
