Years ago you had both USA and ESPN doing weekly fights.

Then ESPN muscled USA off the TV.....and it was ESPN alone for years.

Now it looks like Teddy Atlas and his 'sidekick' will only be on
the tube just 3-4 times a year.

PBC fights in reality are not much better than the ESPN fights we used to get on Friday nites.....the only real difference is the marketing and the PBC announcer telling you how great the fight is.

    Your opinion?

Loved those days with USA and ESPN weekly fights. You would see a lot young guys coming up, some that made it, some that faded away. You would see practically the full card, 4 rounders on up.

PBC is better than FNF. FNF only ever had prospects, or a name fighter that was either old or coming back from a poor run of fights (losses)

Yeah, I miss those USA network fights. PBC on ESPN is better than FNF though as stated, I believe viewers are up as well.

PBC is better than ESPN, not as good as HBO or Showtime. What's horrendous is their commentary team. Even ESPN did that better.

 ESPN is hemmorhaging money and dumping experienced commentators. Disney wants profits... not excuses.

Don't expect much from their boxing promotion...

    look at ESPN's boxing commentators.

PBC is waaaaaaaayyyyy better than the USA, ESPN, and FoxSports1 shows put out.

That said, at least the former allowed fights without politics interferring and we'd get to see guys like Emanuel Augustus and Jesus Soto Karass and Uzmanee being showcased.

The PBC series has A and B level fighters going at it regularly and showcases contenders and titlists fighting regularly.

But theyre all from the Haymon and DiBella stables anymore.

I understand the business model, and the vast investments being made and needing to climb to the top, but it's really robbing the fans and the fighters of getting the best fights made and brought to the fans. :think
