Is Eubank's chin the best of British world boxing champions over the last 25 years?

That's not 25 years. But yes, a great chin had Ken.

Before you answer the poll question go to youtube and watch round 4 of eubank vs thompson 1.

eubank hurts thompson and comes rushing in to finish. thompson unloads with an absolutely perfect right hand to the chin of Eubank as Eubank was running at him. Eubank ran into the shot which usually makes it much worse.

Eubank walked through the shot and knocked Thompson down 5 seconds later

Joe put him down at the end of his career.

Lewis has been knocked out, Eubank hasn't.

    /thread.

So what if Joe put him down at the end of his career? Facts is facts, he got put down by both Calzaghe and Watson.

Lewis faced probably the 3-4 biggest hitters of his generation and barely wobbled on each occasion. Eubank's fights were mainly domestic. You're comparing a Volkswagen Passat with a Rolls Royce, so /being a **** about it.

And, Eubank got up in both those fights and looked dangerous.

I think Lennox had a very good chin but as we're talking facts; both times he was put down he was stopped.

  6. Do any of us buy into the vulnerable British thing?

I kinda see it myself, mainly because they aren't fed enough hitters in their earlier days and don't know how to cope once an elite level fighter hits then with a good shot.

Also, Vitali is no puncher! FFS why is this myth still perpetuated?!

If you want punchers Lewis faced, Mercer, Morrison, Tua, Ruddock, and probably Grant all rank over Vitali, who I've never seen score a genuine sparkage. Herbie Hide was a very iffy K.O IMO.

Yes and yes, more so nowadays though, we had loads of tough and reliable fighters in years before.

Calzaghe knockdown he got caught square on. it was a balance issue, wasnt hurt in slightest. against watson it was was round 11 and he was exhausted. he went down from tiredness not from being hurt if that majkes sense.

    Lol @ 'facts is facts'.

You say this but won't have it that Chris never got sparked out unlike Lennox!

Look at the records you idiot.

Lewis has been layed out like a tablecloth, Eubank hasn't.

    RAHMAN knocked out Lewis.

And so what if he took some of Vitali's uppercuts?

    Eubank NEVER got knocked out.

Nipple hit the nail on the head, p4p Benn is a far bigger puncher than Vitali also. Worse fighters have taken Vitali's punches for a longer period than Lennox did so that doesn't overly stake a claim for this title. Vitali's not a big puncher, he does throw incredible amounts for a heavyweight and fights a lot of sub-par opponents also, the combination of domination and volume does for them.
