Maybe his generation yes-but to say ever is a stretch. I think Ray Robinson, what he did then and how it compares to even now-is just phenomenal-to me he was the best ever warrior and the greatest boxer ever. That being said, I'd say Glen Johnson would be on top of my list of active fighters

Seriously it's hard to say cuz there have been lots of them but he is in the top 10 IMO.

Of the last 20-30 years or so, no doubt. Holyfield is the greatest HW since Holmes, an all-time great who is often underrated.

Era to Era is one thing. I have so much respect for the durability of older fighters who had well over 100 fights. They fought multiple times a year 5-10x. Now can you even think of comparing any modern day fighter to these guys? The answer is a resounding no. However, in modern terms of fighters, Evander is a massive warrior. He always comes in shape and ready to fight. He will do whatever (including fouling) to win. In his prime he was relentless.

Yes he is a tremendous warrior.

Holyfield gets overrated because he often got into entertaining slugfests with fighters he had no business losing to.

What makes him a greater warrior than the likes of Matthew Saad Muhammad, Bobby Chacon, Arturo Gatti, Diego Corrales, Carmen Basilio, Ray Robinson, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, Sam Langford, Mickey Walker, etc...?

He's one of a number of great warriors.

I think he will be remembered as a great warrior of his time just like others of THERE time.

However I wish he would hang them up. I know he did well against Valuev, but its time !while he can still kinda talk straight. Maybe if he didnt have so much child support to pay, he could quit:hey
