he's not using his skills cause he's knocking people out in 2 without them. He has skills though. Its obvious when you watch him spar. When he needs them he will pull em out


I'm not saying he's already elite but i think he would beat anyone at LW other than JMM

 

I think people are going over the top indeed, but sadly you've gone completely the other way.

I know, I just think you've gone a bit too far in response to these people that are nuthugging him. It's a natural tendency.

Valero has a lot going for him, but he's poor in some areas also and hasn't done a great deal yet. That is the reality. We just need to wait and see instead of being rash.

 

Im positive that youve never fought in your whole entire life.. Never been inside a ring or even put on a boxing glove for that matter.

C'mon....they were not ALL tomato cans. Most prospects coming up to the pro ranks have a few "freebies". Ed definitley is a special fighter....he's a FLAWED special fighter with an abundance of POWER which makes for a lot of excitment. When he steps up against a really GOOD and proven boxer he'll be taken the distance. But Ed does need a step up in comp...that much everyone knows. His hype is deserved for the most part....not the CRAZY HYPE like he can beat the likes of JMM or PAC but that he has the potential to be VERY GOOD and a pretty dominating World Champ. He has the tools and skills to have some longevity in the sport but he needs to get some rounds in with quality boxers.

 

He can fight brah....he's just unpolished and ruggid. He is like a lot of the powerful Heavyweights who rely so much on their power and throw skills they "SHOULD" have out the window. Like one said....he has the skills...he shows that much in sparring, but come fight night he becomes wild and looks to impose his power over his oppoennts to get the job done.

 

An undefeated record against tomato cans, though. Doesn't make him a clown, it makes him over-protected by his handlers, even when considering that he was in exile from the US market: his people could have put him up against higher-risk fighters in Mexico, Japan, and Indonesia and let him learn some skills & experience adversity. Instead, they went abroad vs. bums and, with all the hype, he's going to jump from the kiddie pool into the Marianis Trench.

With the over-protective handlers, irresponsible promoters, lazy trainers and age, Valero's in a bad place. He just might have the power and athleticism to do alright, but we'll never know what he'd be like at his peak skill-wise or age-wise.
