always makes me giggle that one...

And theres me thinking it was the near decapitation from a froch hook rather than old jermaine needing 50 winks..

    Taylor should try unleaded.....

You'd think with his training,15 years as a boxer ,mumerous 12 rounders, being only 30,going 24 round with hopkins etc the guy would grasp the concept of a 12 round fight..

    But im just naive

can we enter jt for the next series of fatclub please? He needs the excercise the couch potatoe

Ya i agree with this. He's looking worse and worse these days. It's what seems like a lack of will that worries me. He's definitely the skills but he hasn't shown the heart to force a big win in a long time.

Theres no way he's stopping Abraham so it'll have to be a decision. If at any times over those 12 Abraham gets all over him i wouldn't fancy Taylor's chances.

If he's got the fire back in his belly he has a great chance against everyone, but i doubt he has, i'm afraid this tournie could be just a few paydays for him.

If he managed to stay focused and throw punches for the whole fight of course he could win, he's got the most ability and experience of the bunch. Unfortunately I don't see him doing it, he's just not right mentally. Still, it's very likely he'll get some spectacular wins.

I think JT will struggle, he has already been KOd by one of the 6 even if for the most part he bpxed well. I rank AA higher tha Froch and expect him to be stopped again.

Round 5 onwards. Once Froch started using his distance he neutralized Taylor's better close ranged work. What's to assume he won't do the same from round one onwards in a rematch?

Why can't folks just admit they can only speculate as to what *may* happen in a rematch not assume? **** by the reckoning of most here Margarito would have been schooled in a rematch vs Cotto based on Cotto's early dominance :S :S :S

Look at the second round of that fight again. Margo was on him early. I gave the 2nd to Margo. Body shots and the uppie's that busted his nose.

I will be rooting for Taylor hard in this Tourney. I hope with the wife and kids he can use the loss as motivation, get a conditioning coach and bust some ass. I have always liked JT, I wish he would get Mayweather Sr to train him. He could set up shop in vegas and have a camp with Mayweather. He has all the tools just not the boxing acumen. Imagine Floyd Mayweather skills in JT body!

Yeah, I think so. I think he may pull the odd upset but I certainly don't see him winning the event.

so we have Taylor\Abraham, Froch\Dirrell, and Kessler\Ward in the first round.

they still haven't announced the other fights, if I recall correctly they should be doing this within the next few weeks, correcto?

You can't just discredit Froch's last round. It is what it is. JT has a history of gasing out and he didn't have the defense or stamina to last the 12 rounds. No one handed Froch anything.

And no, JT did not dominate Froch. It was a very close fight. The judges were again favoring JT heavily in the scorecards for some reason.

I only give JT a good shot at some wins if he stops being so tense every second in the ring which leads him to gas and learns a little defense. If he had done both against Froch, he would've won easily. But that's always been part of JT's game. How many expect him to just fix his flaws at this stage of his career?
