Is everyone who said Morales was shot in 2nd Pac fight now going to condemn JMM??????

We have all heard people on here swearing blind that in the one year that passed between the 1st and 2nd Morales vs Pacquiao fights, Erik Morales went from producing the greatest victory of his career to the utterly shot-to-**** fossilized remains of a ghost of a corpse.

Are these same usual suspects now up in arms at the (in my opinion) completely ridiculous and pathetic decision of Juan Manuel Marquez to, exactly FIVE YEARS after Morales-Pacquiao II, feast on the carcass of shot legend Erik Morales???

    Most certainly!

Also within that year you mention Erik fought a guy called Raheem and he beat Morales from pillar to post for 12 rounds . It was a beating thats for sure, wear and tear caught up with erik and he wasnt so bad inthe manny rematch but whatever was left was taken in those 2 fights.

Morales now is so bad compared to hsi former self he needs to retire he has given more than enough

hell yes it's a joke. if people are to criticize pac, they need to be consistent.

people said morrales was shot to **** when pac took him in 3 rounds, and that was donkeys ago.

:huh I didn't think Raheem-Morales was a bad beating at all. Raheem outboxed Morales, landed a good number of punches, but at no point did the fight resemble a beatdown, Morales never seemed very hurt and obviously he wasn't dropped or anything like that. I think you're way overstating how bad that fight was for Morales.

I don't think I've heard (or read) too many people hype up Morales as much as some people are trying to do for Mosley.

This is a disgrace, worse than Harrison-Haye or Chisora-Klitschko in my opinion. I'm genuinely annoyed by this fight.

    WAR MORALES!

He should be fighting Soto at 135lb or if like his fans (by fans I mean Mexicans still upset at every guy they have falling to Pac) believe he can dominate 140lb, then fight Maidana.

Call out the winner of Bradley-Alexander. Call out Khan. All those guys need a HOF foil to fight to make money.

And all would fight him in a heartbeat including Soto.

JMM can MAKE ANY FIGHT AT LIGHTWEIGHT OR JR WELTER HE WANTS TO, but he is going to fight Morales.

That tells you everything his fans with mancrushes can't admit to themselves.

Compared to this, Pacquiao-Mosley is a very legit fight.

No one condemned Pacquaio for beating Morales in the second fight, quite the opposite, they just said he was past prime, which he clearly was against Raheem, and even as far back as MAB 3.

JMM won't get credit but Marquez at least tried to make the big fight against Manny so I don't see how he can be condemned. Marquez at this stage deserves pay days, who else is he supposed to fight? LW has Guerro/Soto/Rios all decent defenses but Marquez has just beat 3 top LWs and largely got zero credit for it. If 1 man in the sport deserves big paydays its JMM

1 payday I wish Marquez got was Ricky Hatton as he would have done to Ricky what he did to Katsidis and Diaz

Yes he is but the point is that fight could have been made since before he fought Katsidis.

C'mon dude use your head. JMM hasn't looked to fight NOT one top lightweight. He always chose to fight the lesser fighter.

He chose to start off with Casamayor instead of the undefeated Diaz. Then he chose to fight Diaz instead of Campbell who had just defeated Diaz. Then he chose to fight Katsidis who doesn't have one significant win at the weight instead of fighting Soto.

Now he is choosing to fight Morales instead of like many JMM fans have said he can, move up in weight to jr welter and dominated the likes of a Maidana, Ortiz, Peterson.

Or waiting till Bradley-Alexander are finished in January and making that fight.

JMM can make any fight form lightweight to jr welter he wants to. He has the name recognition and the status to do so.

He, Nacho and GBP choose not to because they know what would happen.

Bull****. Most people on here said Morales was "shot" by the 2nd Pac fight (after the fight had happened, obviously). I GUARANTEE I can find a post from YOU saying this, even though you are trying to pretend now that he was only "past prime". You are very biased and transparent.

Anyway, I don't believe in the paydays bull****. I'm a boxing fan, not JM Marquez's accountant. **** his bank balance, I want to see one of the world's top fighters fighting other top fighters, and if I see ANYONE beating up a shot fighter for money I will condemn it. Money is no excuse for bull**** matchmaking.

Marquez made a shitload of money vs Mayweather anyway, and he could've made another shitload against Pacquiao if he didn't start his 50-50 rubbish.

****in' too right. Bull**** fight....means absolutely nothing in terms of legacy. Nothing at all. I'll struggle to even acknowledge it happened in five years time, unless Morales jumps into a time machine and goes back to 2002.
