the cut seemed to have bothered him a lot. blood was dripping to his eye. even without the cut though i think morales still would have won by decision but the fight could have been much closer.

pac did not have his right hand in that fight and did not know how to fight backwards. he had poor defense and balance. he didn't know what to do when morales was on the offensive. also, one thing i noticed is how pac never really had an inside game. morales got lot of good shots through pac up close. pac only had success when he was firing up his combinations.

Casamayor was the LINEAR champion when Marquez faced and knocked him the **** out. Juan Diaz had already lost to Campbell when JMM faced Casa, and Campbell couldnt make weight for his next fight after Diaz and was stripped from the belts. Juan Diaz hd a victory over Katsidis and was the best lightweight after Marquez by the time he fought him in Feb '09. Last November, Katsidis was also the second best lightweight in the world, was Marquez' madatory, and was ranked higher than Soto. Juan has beaten the top lightweights in the world after himself.

And no, i do not like this Morales fight at all, i would much rather see JMM clear out 135, and unify all the belts.

Actually according to the book makers in vegas pac/mosley is more of a joke fight! Mosley is a 9-1 underdog, Margo was a 5-1 underdog!! :bbb

    The linear champion......hahahahahahahahahahaha!

So you are telling me Casa won his fight with that journeyman fighter (who's name escapes me) And you are telling me Casa didn't get bounced around the ring by Katsidis before landing a desperation lucky punch on the CHIN UP in the air Katsidis?

No one cares about LINEAR CHAMPIONSHIPS if they don't mean anything. And Campbell didn't NOT make weight until he fought Ali Funeka which was in Feb of 09 the same month and year that JMM fought Diaz.

Campbell was stripped in that fight NOT BEFORE!!!!!!!!

    Do your RESEARCH!

No, that's a negative. It's better for them to have never fought at all and leave everything to people's imaginations than to have them fight when one is too weathered to even compete. FAR better.

And had Marquez fought Campbell, you'd still be bitching about Marquez not fighting the top fighters of the division. Campbell was set to fight Joan Guzman around the time Marquez fought Casa, but the fight didnt happen and he ended up fighting Funeka around the same time Marquez fought Diaz, and coming in overweight. Campbell was stripped from the WBA belt somewhere around January, he got stripped by the IBF belt in the Funeka fight, either way, Marquez had the RING belt, which is better than the alphabelt letter belts. Bottom line is, Casa WAS the linear champ, making him the top fighter of the division at the time, and Marquez STOPPED him, the only person to stop him, and he stopped Diaz, who was also the only person to stop him. Marquez has fought the best available guys at 135, oh god forbid, he didnt fight Nate Campbell

Boxing fans dont like this fight as much as they dont like Pacquiao-Mosley......however, the Latino buyrate will make JMM-Morales highly profitable.

I listen to and read spanish newspapers and broadcasts here in Los Angeles, and the spanish media is not dissing a JMM vs Morales matchup........on the flipside, the english speaking media is highly dissing the Pacquiao-Mosley matchup, which is'nt going to help PPV sales.

Did he not sustain a nasty cut in the 5th round?

Was he not disallowed to use the Reyes gloves?

Was not blood taken from him 2 days before the fight?

Those things happened in the first fight. Pac lost.

Those things did not happen in the 2nd and 3rd fight. Pac won big.

Pac and Roach have been saying those as factors why he lost the fight. If Pac lost the 2nd fight, you have all the right to call those excuses. But it proed them right so STFU fool.

El Terrible should have stayed retired. i would have liked to see this fight years ago around the time of the second morales/barerra fight. the three mexican badasses should have all fought around that time.
