They should have, but they got comfortable fighting eachother and getting the accolades, that they did'nt want an elite skill fighter like Marquez coming in and spoiling the party.

Then go spew your **** in Pacquiao's direction, the man has made it a habit of fighting fighters coming off of losses.

You dont want to see Marquez-Morales, dont buy it........save your ****ing money and ****ing buy Pacquiao's fight with 40 year old Shane Mosley coming off a loss and a draw.

    Lets be real here Addie.....

.....in the sense that if Marquez wins (nothing is a sure thing) people will see in on his resume years down the line and the fact that Morales is well past it wont be asteriked beside the W.......

.....in that sense, the W does'nt mean much, and I'm the first to admit that.

......but lets not go overboard either......
Morales is not beyong shot as so many in this forum have been saying.

He is well past prime, but he's not beyond shot.

A fighter like Morales is still able to compete vs most if the pace and speed is to his liking.

A past prime and slowed fighter like Morales is like a Mosley......he'll have trouble against slicksters, speedsters, and movers.......
He'll have trouble against energizer bunnies like Pacquiao who will bring the speed and power and go at him in an all out blitz......

Marquez in not the type of a fighter I just described that would be a nightmare to a slowed fighter like Morales.

Marquez is a skill fighter who works off of whats coming at him.......that means the pace can be slowed down somewhat to the pace Morales likes it if Morales so wished.
......its why a past prime slowed fighter like Casamayor was able to give an account of himself vs Marquez.

.....like the Casamayor fight, the probability is that JMM will turn it up a notch heading into the second half of the fight and seperate himself.

My point being is that Morales can still give an account of himself and at the very least we see an entertaining fight.

Of course in a perfect world we would have liked to have seen this matchup with both in their primes.....

I believe that the bitching about this matchup is not so much that its a mismatch.....(I honestly feel Morales will come fully prepared and will give an account of himself.)
......but the feeling from many that Morales is sure to lose, and its not the best Morales we want him to be doing the fighting.
