I heard of the guy but I never seen the guy fight before. He's 37-0 32ko's 6'7 245 pds. I see he fought 2 times last year and only 1 time in 06 and none in 05.Anyone know the story with this guy.
He is a true top gun. He beat Sedrick Fields in his last outing to a ring. Fields was the one who defeated Shannon Briggs some years ago. Faruq beat the man who had defeated Briggs. Therefore Faruq should be ranked ahead on Briggs. Fields also had a pretty close fight with Chagaev. Therefore I for my part would rank him just behind Chagaev. Well, logic has always been my weak spot.
Saleem certainly should have been a contender by now, but his management/promotion has apparently let him down. To be fair, it can't be easy to get a unknown ,huge , unbeaten heavyweight with mostly ko wins ,fights against established contenders with too much to lose against an unranked guy. That leaves the question why isn't Saleem ranked when guys like Ray Austin are? it must be the influence, or the lack of, of his promoter.Maybe if Saleem was with Don King he would have had his chance by now.
Saleem is unbeaten in 37 fights Saleem beat Fields Fields beat Briggs Briggs beat Foreman Foreman beat Norton Norton beat Ali Therefore, Saleem is a heavyweight who can beat anyone, anytime, anywhere:smoke
