I personally think, yes he is. Tito is a 5 time, 3 weight World Champion. He won the IBF Welterweight Title, and successfully defended it 15 times, knocking out 12 of his opponents. Tito also won the WBC title at Welterweight, WBA & IBF titles at Light Middleweight, and the WBA title at Middleweight. His resume includes: 'Yori Boy' Campas Hector 'Macho' Camacho Pernell Whitaker Oscar De La Hoya Fernando Vargas Ricardo Mayorga William Joppy Oba Carr (tough no1 contender) Maurice Blocker (world title holder) David Reid (gold medal winner, world title holder) Tito's only has two meaningful loses which were to a prime version of Bernard Hopkins, and included a schooling by Winky Wright - also in his prime. The loss to Roy Jones Jr, was after a 3 year+ lay off, at a weight Tito had no business fighting at.
If you call only the top 50 fighters ever ATGs, then no. If you call the top 100 fighters ever ATGs, then yes.
All these new terms are confusing me. I yearn for simpler days, when there were but gayweathers and oscarsexuals.
Aren't you one of the guys condemning Margarito for handwraps, yet Tito gets a free pass? Does that make sense?
this is a topic about is tito an atg? we already half half a dozen topics about handwraps/margo/cheating etc
I'm a Margosexual, yet I picked Mosley to not only beat him, but dominate him in a thread before the fight? In order to be infatuated with a fighter, wouldn't I have to blindly, unobjectively side with them in every instance, yet... Slap yourself. atsch
Is it? So, if he used handwraps in every fight prior to Bernard Hopkins, which took place at middlweight by the way, wouldn't Tito's legacy have to be reevaulated? It's a legitimate question. I'm not a blind nut hugger. I try to be objective. You should too.
