I think Tito was already 38-0 with 15 Welterweight Title defenses before they fought.

I love Gatti as much as the next guy. How could you not and still call yourself a boxing fan. I could watch the Ward vs Gatti trilogy every day, but I am not sure he deserves to get in the hall. For sure not a first ballot. As for Vargas he deserves a shot, but I think a lot of guys who don't deserve to be in hall are so if Jess Willard deserves to be in the hall you can't deny Vargas and Gatti simply for what they did for boxing, which is give all they have and fight the best opponents availible.

there is no warriors wing though, Gatti and Vargas shouldnt be enshrined next to Robinson, Leonard, or any other greats.

DLH was RING Mag #1 P4P Champ of the World five years before he fought Vargas.

No he should not be in. A lot of guys that deserve to go before him. Plus there are a ton of guys who are going to get in that are still active but at the end of their careers (also some guys that have retired within the last 3 or 4 years that will get in before him...lewis is an example). There are at least 6 hall of famers that are going to retire within the next 2 to 3 years that will go in above him as well (Morales, Barrera, DLH, Hopkins, Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr., etc, etc). He is NOT, and I say NOT get in before the likes of these guys. If he sees the HOF it will be a long time from now.

Vargas was moved along to quickly. He could have been a great champ IMO. Rushed to the elite fighters too quickly..he didnt have the professional or age experience to beat Trin. and DLH. I know he put up damn good fights but just think how he would have done with a couple more years of experience uncer him.

No, he shouldn't be in if we were talking about a legitimate HoF, but since were talking about that shitshow IBHOF, then yes, he enters.

I would say no, but i would most definitely pick him over Gatti. I'm still in awe of how many people said "yes,Gatti should be inducted" when that thread was made the other week. Prepostorous.

well maybe if you win two belts, beat a fighter who is GOING to the HOF, are the youngest to ever capture a belt in your weightclass, and get 1 - 2 fights ranked in the top 10 all time list in your weightclass...

    then ya

    :rofl :good

and you know i didnt mean you man... lol... i just see that comparison (even in boxing magazines) way too much, past 2002 they were somewhat similar i SUPPOSE at times... but hardly before.

anyways.... good seeing ya man, are you in a prediction league (barrow, decebels?) i havnt seen you around... if your not in one man get yourself back! its still early, the champ is only 6-0... ;)

at any rate.. as for this thread, i cant say i would blame people for keeping vargas out of the HOF, but then i think those standards need to stand for everyone.... imo.
