Yes. He is without a doubt a GREAT fighter but he failed to fight the best fighters in his division. He could've been a legend.
You, a professional fighter, are calling him a *****? What a shame. I would have thought you'd have more sense and respect than what you're showing right now. The guy is retiring because he no longer wants to fight anymore. He's leaving, on his terms. Do you honestly think he gives a flying **** what you (or the rest of us) think??
If he never faces Cotto, I think world might remember him as one.. If Cotto goes on to dominate in the coming years, well that wont look good for the prettyboy will it.
PBF retired on June 6th.....D-Day. Maybe he envisioned all the "incoming" he would receive from either Margo or Cotto and bailed out.
all this **** that he's a smart business man is ridiculous. First Floyd fans called him a smart business man for rematching DLH...which was just an another excuse to duck the best fighters at 147...now he retires and they still call him a smart business man...what bull****! He retired with the stigma of being a ***** for ducking the riskier fights...his legacy is tarnished.
well, atleast you admit that he didn't give a **** about his fans...which is obvious when he decided to duck Margo and Cotto...the fight the fans really wanted. BTW...he's a ***** and will always be a *****.
He could have bailed out after collecting another huge payday in September, look elsewhere you're on the wrong path.
As a boxing fan, it is undeniable that Mayweather v. Cotto would have been epic. But thinking that Margarito could be, or ever was, a serious threat to him is a pipe dream. Floyd would win all twelve rounds if the two of them had ever fought.
