Is Floyd booking the MGM just another method of ducking by dictating time and place?

It is much more expensive. But for a fight with $100 million in revenues it shouldn't matter. There was a guy on here that was involved in that. It must have been during your absence.

They're only really worried about the A-side meth anyhow. :D But, again, the blood testing is out of the way. Doesn't matter anymore. The question is, "Will this fight happen May 5"? Answer is probably no. Floyd probably thinks Martinez is Mexican and can cash in on Mexican Independence Day.

Arum has done this for Manny's past three fights, yet the media is letting them[Arum, Pacquiao] getting away with it because they aren't willing to say anything negative about Pacquiao's team simply because of Manny's "good guy" public image. I willing to bet the Bradley will fight Manny next year. The writing is on the wall, Margarito admitted that Arum promised him a fight months before Manny fought Clottey. Mosley admitted the same thing after the Pacquiao-Margarito fight. I guess people will blindly choose what they wants to believe.

Ducking him by dictating date and place? No, he's not. Everyone knows that would be the date of the fight, and that is the place where the fight would be held. Arum said he wasn't going to wait for Mayweather. Well he doesn't have to. Floyd's not busy and he'll be waiting for Pacquiao on the other side of Nov. 12th. Bob said that Floyd's trying to steal attention away from Pacquiao. I disagree. I think that it brings more attention to Pacquiao and it might actually help his PPV numbers. More people may be swayed to buy the fight. Floyd's not ducking and in light of this new developement, Bob Arum better not put Pacquiao in the ring with Bradley in April.

Mexican Independence day is in September my dude. Floyd and Ortiz fought during that holiday. Last year, Canelo and Ortiz co-starred in a PPV headlined by Mosley-Mora. Last year was the 200th. This is going to be cinco de mayo. The last time Floyd did PPV on cinco de mayo, 2.45 million homes. Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum would be foolish to pass that money up. That will do as much as 2.45 or more. Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather's egos are not too big to be humbled by that kind of money. Those kinds of numbers are staggering just to think about.

We should just wait and see what happens, before trying to read too much into it. I consider this move by Floyd a good one. Even if it doesn't result in a fight with Pac on May 5, at least he's being more active. If the second option is a fight against Martinez or Berto (assuming he gets past Ortiz) I think it's a fight worth making.

Arum, I think, is overreacting, and seems poised to kill this fight before it happens. But, we will see.

If this was a duck method its horribly planned because all the other team has to do is accept it. Therefore it's not a duck method.

We've seen how that has worked out before though. If May gets testing/date/place then what will Pac want in return?
