Is Floyd good enough to win a third fighter of the year award this year?

If you think he doesn't deserve to win after beating P4P #3 and another title-holder you're crazy. Especially if he fights Pac.

 

berto would be a good win as well to go along with mosley. defeat the man at 147... not 145 and berto another champ and young talented fighter would be IMO a damned good year.

but i guess beating clottey who doesnt have a belt lost his last fight and that too an opponent pac had just stopped(cotto) would still be better.:good

 

I dont see who else could be there if he takes W's over Shane and Manny...Not sure if anyone else has those types of fights lined up this year...

 

a win over mosley and another decent fighter would probably seal it, while a win over pacquiao would definitely seal it. if he only wins against mosley this year, he won't win the award.

 

We'll see what he does after the Mosely fight. Beating Mosely alone wont be enough IMO

Of course he's good enough.

But there's so much that can happen between now and the end of the year for a guy who's only got one definate fight lined up for 2010.

Well remember Pac does still have 140 that he can move back to if he really needs a fight and Mayweather can't be made. Give Pac 3 fights this year which is easily possible say he takes Clottey, Bradley, and then either another fight at 147 against winner of Berto Quinta, or maybe another fight at 140 against Alexander. Those would be 3 solid wins and if Mayweather only fights Mosley this year there is no way he gets the award. If he fights 2 and Pacs not one he could do the Berto Quinta option but thats really his only option. Unless he moves up then he can try fighting P williams or a number of other decent fighters and might take it. But the thing is one fight isn't going to give him fighter of the year, even one as big as Mosley.

He has to beat Mosley and then make sure that Pacquiao or anybody else doesn't win better fights.

 

Mosley will be fighter of the year.

 

Wonder what would happen if Floyd won a close decision in a tough fight and gave Shane another shot with the rematch being just as hyped. Would 2 big wins against the same fighter count? lol

 

Is he good enough? Of course he is, but it depends on what he does...anybody is good enough, more or less...
