I think it took him so long to take real fights to be recognized as the real 1#p4p again. I hope Floyd really wanted this Shane fight wholeheartedly and not taking this by pressure of the boxing fans. I wish this could be the beginning of Money Floyd's comeback.

    I'm sure he is.

Pacquiao is a bigger name globally. He's more respected as a fighter by fans and the media. He's worth more money and is destined to have a much superior life post-boxing. Pacquiao took his prized P4P spot and is regarded as the best fighter on this era.

Mayweather has had incredible success and is a great fighter in his own right, but this is a highly competitive sport where only being the best matters. Mayweather isn't the best right now and I'm sure that hurts him.

Not that it's a bad thing, by the way. When you add everything up, inside the ring and out, Pacquiao is second only to Ali, ahead of Tyson, Louis, Robinson etc..

Mayweather is jealous of the positive public perception of Pac.

When you look at the reception of some of their mutual wins over opponents it's understandable in a sense. Because Pac is so well like he can get away with things that Mayweather can't and isn't scrutinised in the same way.

Manny is the the global face of boxing.

He only has to share top billing in America, with Floyd - where they are more of less equals.

Either way, Floyd is a distant 2nd place to Manny.

Actually Manny has over taken the top spot that Floyd once had. Sure his rep has taken a hit but that is based on nothing....just words from the mouth of Floyd and his daddy. Supporters of Floyd side with Floyd....but most are siding with Manny and feel that the break down of the fight happened b/c of Floyd....not Manny.

Right now Floyd's in the spot light with the help of Shane....both are two of the best WW's in the game...so their fight has more meaning and signifgance....but PAC by large is more popular at the moment world wide....is held in higher regard in terms of his accomplishements, performances and overall career.

Do I think he's jealous? Maybe.....if I was floyd I wouldn't. And I really don't think Floyd cares. B/c like his nick name "Money".....Floyd is most concerned about his paper and he gets that with every fight in abundance. Floyd doens't really care about have a better legacy.....he just doens't want anyone to beat him at anything..

blatantly, he cant outdo pac in terms of accomplishments and popularity, so what does a hater do, try downplay their accomplishments anyway they can to get one over. If you cant climb over someone, drag them down is Floyds motto :)

ok 7 belts in 7 weight classes but he's always bitchin for a ****in catchweight and then he's taking the least risk of all the belt holder's for his last 2 belts so don't praise that **** so much since floyd is the one always cherrypicking

Cotto is the least risk? Last I checked the guy beat Clottey who is top 5 WW and beat Mosley who is current WW #1 and was only beaten by a man loaded with bricks in his fist.

Hatton was the lineal and best JWW in the world, last I checked Floyd struggled like **** at 147 with him, Pac did him in at his best weight, undefeated weight. Hatton arguably already lost his only fight at 147 to Collazo.

He has the same number of catch weight fights as floyd, and he actually made his!

Plus... of his "common opponents" he stopped 2 of them more way impressively and beat the 3rd in two epic fights at his natural weight class.(first time 5 years ago)

Of course Mayweather jealous of Pac.

Why do you think he announced he was fighting Marquez (a guy Pac had wars with) right before Pac was about to fight Hatton?

Why do you think he chose Marquez as an opponent?

Why did he Golden Boy and his father launch a smear campaign of Manny being a roid abuser to tarnish his image?

Pac is more loved and respected than him and its killing him inside.

Especially when you consider the fact he cried like a baby after one of his fights pre-retirement (Baldomir I think) claiming he "couldn't get no love"?

Manny has what Floyd wants, love, respect and adulation.

Its quite sad. Floyd is an incredible boxer, but is a petty, petulant, insecure guy and I don't understand how he has so many fans.
