Is Floyd Jr. deserving to get $15 million purse for the JMM fight?

Floyd still the bigger of the two even if not by much... Floyd biggest physical advantage will be his 5" reach advantage over JMM... Floyd can just potshot JMM from range towards a very boring safe wide UD victory... Floyd was not installed as a 4 to 1 heavy favorite to defeat JMM for nothing... Floyd almost has all the advantages over JMM including age, stamina, skills, build, etc.

This is really an unfair, mismatch fight or in other words, a tune-up fight...

It's unfortunate that GBP agreed to this. I think JMM should get a little bit more money. Just wondering, If GBP said no to this fight, who do you think would FMJ pick as his opponent?

Juan Manuel Marquez is very unlucky. He is very talented but he career is being manage by fools. Hate me for saying that but that is the truth.

Guess, FMJ would pick Ivan Calderon... since Ivan called him out...:D

But I think GBP can force FMJ to face Mosley...

I'm pretty sure GBP would want to put Mosley in there but in my opinion, FMJ wanted a tune up fight before tackling any of the big boys considering his long lay off.

Marquez seems to think it's fair since he agreed to it. If Marquez is fine with it, why shouldn't anybody else? He's a grown man in the twilight of his career. If he doesn't like the terms, he should refuse them.

The terms are good with me.

$15 million for a tune-up fight?? ... Oh my... Floyd Jr. must be draining GBP's and HBO's pockets... And he's trying to convince fans to shell out $50 for a tune-up fight, an unfair mismatch fight... Floyd Jr. trying to get fans to partly pay his $15 million purse...

I'll give that to Team JMM for not whining but IMO they're just giving too much to PBF's wishes including the purse split... JMM can get decent big money from other fights where he's not that disadvantage like maybe against Hatton or Campbell or Guzman or Valero...

I agree. Mismatches are always unfair anyway. Still, who do you seriously think FMJ would've have picked as his opponent, not so much as who GBP wants but who does he want to fight.

If you follow FMJ reasoning in picking JMM then most probably FMJ will fight Ivan Calderon next for calling him out...:D

Seriously you can't really predict who FMJ will fight next... He's too choosy, too picky... and seems to avoid a lot of boxers... Who would have thought that he will pick the small boxer JMM to fight next??

Correct me if I am wrong. MARQUEZ asked for this. PBF DID NOT call out Marquez. Why is everyone else bashing PBF for taking the fight. Shouldn't we @ least question his sanity as well as PBF's testicular fortitude? Obviously, Marquez feels he can win. WHERE is the faith? And I do mean betting, not cheap I told you so's. If Marquez has a death wish, so be it. If he wins, all the haters will be celebrating. Same thing makes you laugh can make you cry...

You're right. FMJ is unpredictable when it comes to choosing his next opponent. IMO, he had to pick JMM because JMM called him out and he had to save face. It was easy for him to accept because he knew that all the advantages was on his side.

True. I just wish that Floyd would wake up and realize that he has been a ppv draw as a result of riding the backs of true superstars like De La Hoya and Hatton.

I could careless what a boxer makes. I'm more interested in how much will Golden boy promotion lose out on this fight.
