He clearly perfers screwing fans by taking the low risk high reward$ fights.:deal He claims he's retired just to aviod certain fighters but has no problem rematching Oscar or Ricky? So is he retired or not?? He claimed to give Hatton a fight because Hatton disrespected him but Margorito disrespected him for months with no success. When asked about Cotto after the Hatton fight he stuttered out his retirement claims and danced around the question as good as he dances around the ring.

Please don't get me wrong i really really like Floyd but some of these recent actions are obvious and it makes me mad :fire we could have so many more great matchups with him in the picture :deal but he refuses to fight the best and his "Money May" persona has gotton the best of him. So why is he doing this to us fightfans:huh Does he lack that heart of a warrior that makes a fighter great? Is he scared of losing? Is he just to consumed with money? What is his deal?

We all wanna see him in good fights and i think everyone and their mother wants to see him fight Cotto. Its pretty safe to say he knows this because he always seems to be sharp on whats going on so why does he clearly ignore this superfight? :nut

Anyway im just venting because i was thinking of all this and i made myself mad so any thoughts or opinions are welcome.

he is fighting DLH next so why even talk this horse **** and Cotto has 2 fights lined up as well, I get pissed when i hear some kid on internet calling a guy who is all time great fighter a coward.

Who have you fought, Look at his record it is the best in boxing and you call him a coward, I personally don't like mayweather behaviour but to say he is a coward is stupid. Ever fighter's job is to make the most money as possible and as quick as possible, that is way this business works and DLH 2 fits that bil perfectly and if Cotto was mayweather position he would be doing the same thing.

He's obviously not a coward. No professional fighter is a coward.

BUT, Floyd is not interested in becoming a truly great fighter. He's not interested in testing himself. He's interested in making money. He takes that path of least resistance to highest (monetary) reward ratio. There is nothing wrong with that, but it's not really what fans of the sport want to see. We tend to like athletes who go for the glory over the cash.

Floyd is far from a coward. He has accomplished as much as he wishes to and demands to be rewarded handsomely to take any more risks.

It sucks for the fans, but I can't be mad at Floyd. In the end, he's the one taking the punches.

I wouldn't say he is a coward, he's not a people's champ for sure. Cotto is the new people's champ.

    It's all about the money.

For what he makes per fight, I would fight Godzilla!

Cotto is the people's champ because he fought quality opposition like Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Carlos Quintana and Oktay Urkal.

Mayweather is a coward because he fought bums like Zab Judah, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Carlos Baldomir.

    I see....

i dont like him but its hard to call a guy whos fought corrales, castillo, gatti, hatton, odlh&hernandez a coward, although that might have to be reassased if he doesnt fight cotto in the next 18 months.
