I just think Floyd's priority is making money, not pleasing the fans, and i seriously doubt Cotto would be doing the same thing Floyd is doing if he were in his position. So, i think it is safe to say that although Floyd is the linear champ, Cotto right now is the people's champ, not just by who he fights, but because he fights whoever Arum says, and the way he fights.

Flyod is not a coward like it was posted earlier he wants big money fights, i can cerntainly care less who he fights you still have to respect the amount of talent he has in this day in boxing. at 140-147lbs theres no man that can beat him

Exactly! I hate these punks on the internet who have never stepped foot in a ring but are so quick to call fighters cowards. No fighter is coward. PBF has been in the ring with the best fighting in his 5th weightclass still undefeated but he's a coward.:-(

Why is everyone so touchy over Floyd? :huh People have opinion's and views and i posted mine but i didnt call him a coward. I asked if his actions made him one or if was just his "Money" persona that led to his actions. Read Read Read :readthre:

Floyd has beaten every man thats been in front of him and is total quality.....I think he's earned the right to do what ever makes him the most money and does'nt need to fight any of the contenders, why should he.................the man is in a position to pick and choose what suits himself and that does'nt make him a coward just Number 1.

Floyd is not a coward, he is a great fighter howver he needs to fight Cotto at some point down the line to complete his legacy.

He is not a coward, i truly beleive he thinks he is thebest and can beat anyone in or around the weight.

However its not nice when a multi millionaire fighter still thinks with his wallet instead of his heart. Mayweather has the all round ability to go down as the very best, i mean as good as the Robinsons of the world, he just doesnt seem too bothered on proving it. He is heading boxings greatest division, stacked with talent and big names but all we hear DLH 2 or even Ricky hatton 2, those fights dont matter, we have already seen those bloody fights. Mayweather vs Cotto, Mosley, Cintron, Forrest, these are the fights we wanna see!

Its easy to spout off on a forum but I remember when Mayweather was wbc lightweight champ, and he mentioned he wanted to fight DLH, everybody laughed at him saying he would be too small and weak to face a man as strong as Oscar.

Floyd is held to a higher standard than any fighter since a prime RJJ ...

I don't think he's a coward ... he's won 5 world championship in as many weight classes (6 if you count that bull**** IBF title he got from Judah)

Fans will never be satisfied with Floyd especially if he keeps winning ... they want to see a champion that has a weakness and seems human.

Its weird to be in the game 12 years and never come close to losing a fight.

He's fighting all good fighters and has more former/current champions on his resume than any other fighter in the WW division. (20) and more championship fights than any WW (18)

Yeah he's fought 3 top 10 WW and a #1 ranked JMW champion ... He's fought 4 straight champions since beat Sharmba Mitchell ...

I think more than anything you have to be accomplished and bring something to the table in addition to having a big name.

This guy will go undefeated once its all said and done ... there's no one 154 on down that can beat him ... he's the best of this current era.

Everyone he fights says it ... even Sharmba Mitchell who fought Kostya Tszyu in his prime ... said that PBF was alot better than Tszyu was.
Same thing with Hatton, DLH, Baldomir, Judah ... this guy is the best fighter I ever fought. He's really fast !!

He's crafty, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be ...

He's 100% business and motivated completely by money. He places his bank account before his legacy. Thats all. I'm not knocking him because I can't 100% say I would do it different. He's not a coward though, just looks at risk vs reward.
